SUMMARY:GO&P Ski & Snowboard at Snowbasin in January-Ogden Area Schools
DESCRIPTION:This ski & snowboard program in partnership with Ski Utah at Snowbasin Resort gives youth the opportunity to begin or continue to learn and develop skiing skills alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts\, and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program is for students in the Ogden School District. \nGrades: 3-6 \nDates: Wednesdays in January  6\, 13\, 20\, 27 \nTime: 1:45-3:45 (on snow)  \nCost: $185/$50 scholarship /$165 sibling ticket — Your ticket covers the lift ticket\, lessons\, and transportation.  \nEquipment*: Students will need skis\, boots\, warm clothing\, coat\, gloves\, ski goggles\, ski pants\, etc…  \nTransportation is provided for this program from POLK ELEMENTARY. Pick up will be during school hours around 1:00 PM and return drop off at 5:00 PM. Students are responsible for missed work and parents must check out their students and get them on the bus. Students must be in good standing with academics\, attendance\, and citizenship. \nScholarships: Deadline is November 18th  \n\nRegular scholarship ticket price is available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship\, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.\n*Equipment is provided only for those on FULL scholarship and tickets must be purchased by Nov 18th.\n\nChaperone: We need 2 parent chaperones each week to help with check in\, riding to the resort\, and being a point of contact in the ski lodge. Chaperone’s student participate for FREE after the full 4 week program. Please choose a chaperone ticket for your student at checkout. Do not buy a chaperone ticket for an adult. Lift tickets are not guaranteed for chaperones and based on resort availability only.  \nIMPORTANT NOTES \n\n\nSupport for students with disabilities – If your child will need assistance from Ogden Adaptive\, please fill out this registration and note YSA in the participation goals box. https://ogdenvalleyadaptive.org/participate\n\n\nIllness: Please do not send your child to the program if they are home from school due to illness\, were sent home or picked up early from school because they were not feeling well\, or are experiencing symptoms of illness on the day of the program. If your child arrives at the program and tells their instructor they are not feeling well or begins exhibiting symptoms of illness\, they will not be able to participate that day. You will be contacted and asked to pick up your child. \nCancellation Policy:  The Youth Sports Alliance does not issue refunds after the registration deadline. Refunds requested before the deadline will incur a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations due to medical reasons may be considered prior to the program start date\, with a $25 administrative fee applied. Programs run rain or shine\, and no refunds will be given due to weather.\n  \n
