DESCRIPTION:Intensity Dance Team (IDT) is celebrating its 10th birthday in 2022. In 2012\, Karissa Molen (IDT owner) started with 8 students in Midway\, UT and now IDT has grown to over 600 students in Heber City and Vineyard Utah. IDT brings the best trained and experienced instructors to affordable\, accessible classes for every dancer no matter the age or starting level of experience. IDT has championship teams as well as weekly classes. Each dancer can build their own dance program. A dancer can come to class once a week and be on a team. Or\, a dancer can be on multiple teams\, do a solo\, and be at the studio every day. It is up to each dancer. It is never too late to start dancing! Life is hard enough\, dance should be fun! \nIntroduction to Hip Hop Dance will take place on Mondays 2:30-3:30 on April 4\, 11\, 18 and 25.

DESCRIPTION:Creative expression is infinite and there are no boundaries.  There is no better way to illustrate that\, than by trying different forms of art from around the world and across history. From Gyotaku (traditional Japanese fish printing)\, to Pop Art\, students will explore their own creative expressions through the lens of four\, very different art styles. The class will allow students to try different techniques\, while learning about their historical context. DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to offer a 2 week flatwater kayaking class at Deer Creek Reservoir with Wasatch Whitewater. Also\, check out our sailing class which is offered on alternate days (Sep 12th\, Sep 26th). \nDates: Monday\, September 19th and October 3rd from 2:30 – 4:30pm \nNo transportation is provided. Parents must drop off and pick up students from Deer Creek Island Beach day use area. \nThis class is geared towards understanding the basics of kayaking. A good foundation of skills and knowledge of equipment will help to set you up correctly for successful paddling. You will learn paddling strokes and boat control. You will also learn how to keep yourself upright using bracing techniques and your options if you find yourself upside down. This class will also visit the introduction to the roll. \nParticipants need to be comfortable under the water because they will be practicing flipping upside down in a kayak while holding their breath. They will then need to get out of the boat and swim to the surface without panicking. This takes a few seconds. Because of this a swim test is required. \nParticipants must complete the swim test with a local lifeguard. Download the swim test requirements here. Also\, fill out this waiver. Email the swim test and the waiver to Amanda Sorensen\, amanda@ysausa.org\, before the first session. Your child will not be able to participate until both are completed. \nWasatch Whitewater Provides: kayaks\, paddles\, kayak skirts\, helmets\, life jackets\, and semi-dry jackets. \nRequired Gear: Water\, snacks\, sunscreen\, swimsuit (something able to get wet)\, and dry clothes for after the lesson. Long underwear/synthetic shirt to wear under the semi drytop. Appropriate footwear (MUST stay on while swimming\, wetsuit booties\, river shoes\, sport sandals or old tennis shoes will work). We’re a feeder program for the U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation. As part of the tryout\, participants will first do a track walk with their coach to get an idea of how to steer a sled on ice. Next\, they will take two runs on a skeleton sled from the Tourist start (entrance of curve 11). \nThe program runs for 3 consecutive Fridays with registered participants sliding on all three of the dates. After the program concludes athletes are then welcome to continue training with the UOP Youth Sliding Program (meets on Wednesdays and Saturdays). \nUOP Waiver MANDATORY- UOP Sliding- https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/e/MsWviN6XaKjbR9cwy3nWRM/ \nEquipment: The Utah Olympic Park will provide skeleton sleds\, helmets and elbow pads. YOU will need to bring clothes to slide in: Lower body- spandex tights\, sweats or track pants preferably with tapered legs. Upper body-outer layer sweatshirt that is somewhat abrasion resistant\, without hood and not too baggy-basically clothes that can get damaged. NO EXPOSED SKIN. Also\, please bring a beanie\, gloves\, and warm jacket and snow pants for track walk. \nTransportation: Transportation to the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) and athlete pick up from the UOP after sliding will need to be done by parents.  All athletes (students) need to be at the UOP by 2:00pm. They will slide from 2:30-3:30pm and be available for pick up at 3:30pm. Parents are gladly invited to stay and watch. \nDirections: All participants will meet at the Bobsled/Skeleton finish dock. DESCRIPTION:Dates: Monday\, October 24\, 31\, November 7\, 14 from 2:30-3:30pm at the FitStop \nThe FitStop Youth ACTiV8 program is a wonderful program where kids will get to experience and learn a variety of activities. These activities will include mixed martial arts\, indoor climbing\, and indoor cycling. Children will rotate weekly between activities. \nMMA (Martial Arts Self Defense) – The Progressive Defense Tactics instructional system is more than just physical self defense. It integrates the mind-body-spirit approach to personal protection. This approach to Personal protection gives participants an edge over others. Empowering youth and teenagers through defense classes will help them develop effective defensive strategies and gain confidence. \nThe Crag Climbing Wall – Kids will learn the basis of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. Along with climbing\, they will learn how to tie into harnesses and climb on rope\, climbing technique\, equipment\, safety\, problem solving\, trust\, teamwork\, strength and endurance\, along with so much more. \nCycling- These Indoor cycling classes consist of timed drills and profiles. You will work on developing saddle endurance and a strong cadence. Great for outdoor riders off season to work on climbing skills\, with sprint and recovery training. Bring Water and Towel. \nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If you earn less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you earn more than $50\,000 annually but less than $100\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. Please complete the Partial Scholarship Application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.
