DESCRIPTION:This Skiing program in partnership with Ski Utah at Park City Mountain Resort gives youth the opportunity to begin or continue to learn and develop skiing skills alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts\, and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program is for 4th graders at Monticello Academy – West Valley campus only. Students must be at least 7 years old to participate. \nDates: Jan 12\, 26\, Feb. 2\, 9; 12:30-2:30 \nVenue: Park City Mountain Village \nProgram Fee: $180 The Program Fee includes lift tickets\, instruction\, rentals and transportation. \nVolunteers Needed: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week indoor climbing program at the Fit Stop for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 program\, sponsored by Kodiak. \nDates: Monday January 12\, 26\, February 2\, 9  from 2:30-3:30 \nLocation: Fit Stop \nThe FitStop youth ACTIV8 program is a wonderful program where students will get to experience the Crag Climbing Wall. Students will learn the basics of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. Along with climbing\, they will learn how to tie into harnesses and climb on rope\, climbing technique\, equipment\, safety\, problem solving\, trust\, teamwork\, strength and endurance\, along with so much more. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Fit Stop \nRequired Equipment \n\nWaiver\nWater Bottle\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\n\nRegistration Closes Monday\, January 5th. \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. DESCRIPTION:This is a program for South Summit 1st-5th graders and is for those who have never skied/snowboarded to beginners. If you did this program last year\, please consider signing up for the GOAP South Summit Woodward Progression Program. \nThe Get Out & Play Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding programs give kids the opportunity to begin skiing and snowboarding alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program takes place at Park City Mountain Ski Resort. \nThe program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of parent volunteers. Students then board a bus for transport to the ski hill where they will have a two (2) hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. \nDates: Mondays Jan. 12\, 26\, Feb 2\, 9; (no class on Jan. 19) \nTime: 3:00-6:30pm \nProgram Fee:  $185 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee. \nTransportation will be provided: \nSouth Summit- The bus will leave from South Summit Elementary School. Fifth graders will need to come to the elementary school to meet the bus. Once the lesson is completed\, students are driven back to school where parents can pick them up. Buses/Vans will arrive at the school at 3:00pm with arrival at Woodward around 3:45 and return to school around 6:30pm. \nVolunteers Needed: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Murray District Alpine Skiing program at Deer Valley is in partnership with Ski Utah and gives kids the opportunity to begin or continue to learn skiing skills alongside their peers. This program is specifically for age 7-12 year olds. You’ll learn the basics of this sliding sport and be sent headfirst down the smooth ice track at speeds around 50mph! Come prepared with gloves and an adventurous mindset to begin your journey as a skeleton athlete and you’ll leave the park changed by this unique and unforgettable experience. The skeleton programming at the UOP serves as an entry point into US Olympic athlete development programming and you can continue on this path right here in Park City. \nThe program runs for 4 consecutive Fridays with registered participants sliding on all four of the dates. After the program concludes athletes are then welcome to continue training with the UOP Junior Sliding Program (meets on Wednesdays and Saturdays). \nEquipment: The Utah Olympic Park will provide skeleton sleds\, helmets and elbow pads. YOU will need to bring clothes to slide in: Lower body- spandex tights\, sweats or track pants preferably with tapered legs. Upper body-outer layer sweatshirt that is somewhat abrasion resistant\, without hood and not too baggy-basically clothes that can get damaged. NO EXPOSED SKIN. Also\, please bring a beanie\, gloves\, and warm jacket and pants for track walk. \nTransportation: Transportation to the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) and athlete pick up from the UOP after sliding will need to be done by parents. All athletes (students) need to be at the UOP by 2:00pm. They will slide from 2:30-3:30pm and be available for pick up at 3:30pm. Parents are gladly invited to stay and watch. \nDirections: All participants will meet at the Bobsled/Skeleton finish dock. Once you drive to the UOP\, pass the Museum on your left and follow the road towards the bobsled track. When you come to a gate (2554#) proceed around the road and the bobsled track will be on your left side. Keep following the road until you come to a parking lot on your left. Please do not park in the parking lot but on the downhill side of the road. The ACTiV8 Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding program gives kids the opportunity to learn and progress alongside their peers and will help refine current skills and introduce students to new skills. This is a program for North Summit and Wasatch middle schoolers. This registration is for North Summit students. \nStudents will meet parent volunteers after school in a specified area where the students will get ready for the session (get snow clothes and gear on). Students will then board YSA transportation to Woodward where they will have a 2 hour ski or snowboard lesson with an instructor.  \nThis program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nDates: Thursdays\, Feb. 12\, 19\, 26\, Mar. 5 \nProgram Time: 3:30-5:30 pm (at Woodward) \nProgram Fee: $185 \n*The Program Fee includes transportation\, lift tickets\, and instruction. \nTransportation: \nNorth Summit– Transportation will be provided if we get enough participants and a chaperone. If transportation can be provided\, we will plan to leave the school around 2:50 and will return to the school around 6/6:15pm. \nVolunteers Needed: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a four-week introduction to boxing program with Rise Boxing for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays\, Mar. 23\, Apr. 6\, 13\, 20 \nTime: 1:30-2:30pm \nLocation: Timpanogos Middle School \nStudents will learn the fundamentals of boxing in a supportive and encouraging environment through 3 weeks of 1 hour sessions. The session will cover footwork\, punching technique\, combinations\, rules of boxing and application of the sport. Students will develop skills in a non-contact environment that will give them an understanding of the sweet science. Students will get to see the discipline and skill required for boxing in a safe and controlled environment and will develop a base level of skill over the course of the session. \nScholarship Availability:  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If your child qualifies for the free and reduced lunch program and/or your family earns less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you do not qualify for free and reduced lunch but earn less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, please complete the Partial Scholarship Application linked here. The information you choose to share with us is confidential and will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility for a partial scholarship. DESCRIPTION:The YSA is excited to offer a four-week weight lifting program at the Fit Stop for 6th-8th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays March 23\, April 6\, 13\, 20 from 2:30-3:30. \nOur goal is to create a safe and positive community to cross train\, for all abilities. We focus on building a good foundation in weight training with an emphasis on form. Not only do we have fun while building self esteem but also stamina. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Fit Stop \nRequired Equipment \n\nWaiver\nWater Bottle\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\n\nRegistration Closes Monday\, March 16\, 2026 \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration.
