SUMMARY:ACTIV8 Wasatch Weight Lifting at the Fit Stop - April/May 2026
DESCRIPTION:The YSA is excited to offer a four-week weight lifting program at the Fit Stop for 6th-8th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays\, Apr. 27\, May 4\, 11\, 18 from 2:30-3:30. \nOur goal is to create a safe and positive community to cross train\, for all abilities. We focus on building a good foundation in weight training with an emphasis on form. Not only do we have fun while building self esteem but also stamina. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Fit Stop \nRequired Equipment \n\nWaiver\nWater Bottle\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\n\nRegistration Closes Monday\, March 16\, 2026 \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited for this brand new program opportunity and to team up with Salt City Swords\, an organization dedicated to teaching fencing and swordsmanship. \nDates : Wednesdays – April 29\, May 6\, May 13\, May 20 \nTime: 12:40 – 2:20 (Instruction will be from 1-2 PM at Salt City Swords) \nLocation :  Salt City Swords – transportation will be provided \nDiscover the excitement of fencing\, one of the fastest and oldest sports in the Olympics! This four week course will cover the basics of modern-day sword fighting\, including footwork\, blade work\, rules\, etiquette and basic tactics. Students will develop coordination\, confidence\, speed\, and agility while discovering the intricacies of this fascinating sport under the guidance of expert instructors. \nWhat to Bring:\n– Water bottle\, athletic clothing and footwear \nProgram Chaperone:  \nOur programs cannot run without parent volunteers.
