SUMMARY:South Summit GOAP– Learn to Ski/Snowboard at PCM Sponsored by Epic Promise; Mondays 2027
DESCRIPTION:This is a program for South Summit 1st-5th graders and is for those who have never skied/snowboarded to beginners. If you have done this program before\, please consider signing up for the GOAP South Summit Woodward Progression Program. \nThe Get Out & Play Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding programs give kids the opportunity to begin skiing and snowboarding alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program takes place at Park City Mountain Ski Resort. \nThe program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of parent volunteers. Students then board a bus for transport to the resort where they will have a two (2) hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. \nDates: Mondays January 11\, 25\, Feb. 1\, 8\, 2027 \nTime: 3:00-6:30pm; Lesson 4-6pm \nProgram Fee:  $185 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee. \nTransportation will be provided: \nSouth Summit- The bus will leave from South Summit Elementary School. Fifth graders will need to come to the elementary school to meet the bus. Once the lesson is completed\, students are driven back to school where parents can pick them up. Buses/Vans will arrive at the school at 3:00pm with arrival at Woodward around 3:45 and return to school around 6:30pm. \nRegistration Deadline: Scholarship tickets will close Nov. 17\, 2026. If you need a scholarship ticket after the 17th\, please contact us. Registration will close on November 30\, 2026 at 11:30pm.  \nVolunteers Needed: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Program Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. As a Program Chaperone\, you must be able to attend the full session of the program\, pass a background check and complete the volunteer packet. Rentals are included with the scholarship ticket only. \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Scholarship tickets without equipment included may be available after the 17th if needed. Please contact us if you need a scholarship ticket.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship\, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges. Equipment is not included with a partial scholarship.\n\nSibling Discount: Sibling discounts are available with the purchase of a full price standard ticket.
