SUMMARY:GO&P Ice Skating November 2024
DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of skating\, falling and how to get up. Kids will be divided up into groups and rotate through different stations that will teach specific skill sets\, play games and allow for “free skate” time.  Each of the following weeks will  focus on a specific type of skating\, including figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities). \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that that this program also focuses on “Fun On Ice” to get the kids out on the ice skating and having a good time with their friends. This program is not intended to be a supplement to strict club training. \nDates: Fridays Nov 22 Dec 6 & 13\, 20 \nTimes: 1:30pm – 2:45pm (Time on ice\, does not include transportation to and from school). \nLocation: Park City Ice Arena \nTransportation is provided. Students from Silver Summit Academy and Telos Classical Academy may ride the bus from Trailside Elementary School. Students from Park City Day School may ride the bus from Jeremy Ranch Elementary School. \nWe are looking for a Program Coordinator for each of the schools. Volunteers who are the coordinator for all 4 weeks of the program will receive a significant discount on the program fees for 1 child registered in the program. Interested individuals please choose the chaperone ticket. \nPartial Scholarships Available! We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If you earn less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you earn more than $50\,000 annually but less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. Please complete the Partial Scholarship Application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges. The information you choose to share with us is confidential and will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility for a partial scholarship. You may be asked to provide documentation (i.e.\, paystubs\, tax forms\, or W-2s) to confirm your income and/or other financial information. \nNo refunds will be given once registration closes except under extenuating circumstances. \nFor questions please contact Heather Sims at heather@ysausa.org. or 831.254.6011

SUMMARY:Weilenmann GO&P Ice Skating 2025 sponsored by Kodiak
\nDates: January 9th\,  16th\, 23rd\, 30th and Feb 6 \nTimes: 1:30pm – 2:45pm \nLocation: Park City Ice Arena \nTransportation is provided.

SUMMARY:SOLD OUT: GOAP South Summit & Wasatch – Ski/Snowboard Progression at Woodward Sponsored by Kodiak; Mondays 2025
DESCRIPTION:This program is sold out. Please contact us if you would like to be added to the waitlist. South Summit YSA Contact: Jana Johnson (jjohnson@ysausa.org or 435.640.8774)\, Wasatch YSA Contact: Amanda (amanda@ysausa.org or 801-400-5044) \nThe Get Out & Play Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding Progression programs give kids the opportunity to progress their skiing and snowboarding skills alongside their peers. The program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nThis is a program for South Summit and Wasatch students 1st-5th grade. This program is for those who have tried our Learn to ski/snowboard program and now want to progress those skills on the slopes at Woodward. This program will help to refine the skills your child has learned and introduce them to new skills. These lessons are designed for skiers/snowboarders who can already turn and stop on their own and are eager to be more controlled\, consistent\, and confident on the mountain. This is not a program for complete beginners. For a beginner program\, please register for the South Summit & Wasatch -Learn to Ski/Snowboard program at Park City Mountain. \nThe program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of parent volunteers. Students will take YSA provided transportation to Woodward where they will have a 2 hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is completed\, students are taken back to the school where parents can pick them up. \nDates: Mondays Jan. 13\, 27\, Feb 3\, 10; 4-6pm (no session on Jan. 20) \nProgram Fee:  $180 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee. \nTransportation is provided: \nSouth Summit- The bus will leave from South Summit Elementary School. Fifth graders will need to come to the elementary school to meet the bus. Once the lesson is completed\, students are driven back to school where parents can pick them up. Buses/Vans will arrive at the school at 3:00pm with arrival at Woodward around 3:45 and return to school around 6:30pm. \nWasatch- Parents/guardians will drop off their children at 3:00pm at the South Field Park parking lot on 100 S in Heber with their gear and in their snow clothes. Once the lesson is completed\, students are taken back to the South Field parking lot where parents can pick them up around 6:30 pm. \nVolunteers Needed! To make this program happen affordably\, we need parent volunteers for a School Coordinator position and as bus chaperones. Volunteers for School Coordinator will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please select the School Coordinator ticket. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer form and background check. The link for the background check will be sent after the form is filled out. South Summit bus chaperone positions will only be needed if the coordinator tickets are not sold. Wasatch bus chaperone positions can be viewed HERE. Your help is greatly appreciated! \nRegistration Deadline: Registration will close on November 30\, 2025 at 11:30pm. \nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing. \nIMPORTANT NOTES \n\nNo refunds will be issued for bad weather\, illness\, or once the program has started.\nEquipment is not provided (except with full scholarship tickets).
