SUMMARY:GO&P Park City Beginning Mountain Biking for Grades 3-5
DESCRIPTION:The YSA has teamed up with Young Riders to offer mountain biking for 3rd-5th graders as part of the Get Out and Play Program. \nDates: September 5th\, 12th\, 19th\, 26th  \nTimes: 1:15 – 3:15pm \nLocation: Quinn’s Junction\, Park City \nThis program is for participants who are beginners on trails\, and not for beginners on bikes\, as students should already know how to ride a bike and may have ridden some trails. \nThis 4-week program covers beginner single track trails\, climbing\, descending\, obstacles and safety on the trails of Round Valley. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at Quinn’s Junction – park in the lot on Gillmor Way at Quinn’s Junction\, Park City. This program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nRiders will need the following: \n\nBike\nHelmet (required\, your child will not be allowed to ride without a helmet)\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\nProtective eye wear (sunglasses are best)\nCycling gloves – recommended\n\nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. DESCRIPTION:Experience all the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility including trampolines\, parkour\, skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding.  Students will choose Wheeled Sports (skateboarding and scooters) or Acro (parkour and trampolines). Students will receive some structured coaching and some free time to practice their new skills.  All abilities welcome. \nTransportation is provided. SUMMARY:South Summit GOAP Ski/Snowboard & Sport Simulator with Sim Sports
DESCRIPTION:Sim.Sports Ski/Snowboard Simulator training: During this four (4) week program\, participants will work on stretching\, agility\, flexibility and\, of course\, get ready for ski season by shredding on the ski simulators. Class time includes training\, games\, races and individual time on the ski simulator.  Bring your own ski boots or use a pair of loaner boots. \nSim.Sports Golf/Multi-sport Simulator training:  Golf\, football\, soccer\, arcade games and more!! During this four (4) week program\, participants will enjoy a full hour of fun as we work through the different sports offered on the Multi-sport simulator.  No equipment necessary. Sneakers recommended for ball sports. DESCRIPTION: The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to partner with the Lindsey Vonn Foundation\, and The Winter Sports School for this inaugural hands-on\, high-energy workshop focused on building confidence\, grit\, and leadership. Through interactive activities\, small group discussions\, and personal reflection\, students will explore what it means to lead with strength\, push through challenges\, and believe in themselves. The workshop will be co-facilitated by Lindsey Vonn Foundation Youth Ambassadors and mentors from the Winter Sports School\, offering a peer-supported space for growth and connection. Participants should already be able to turn and stop independently and are ready to gain more control\, consistency\, and confidence on the mountain. Must be at least 7 years old to participate. This program is for students in the Ogden School District only.  \nProgram Details \n\nDates: January 7\, 14\, 21\, 28\nTime: 2-4 PM (on the snow)\nAge: 3rd-6th graders\nVenue: Snowbasin\nSkill Level: Lessons are designed for skiers and snowboarders already able to turn and stop independently.\nTransportation: Meet up location is Polk Elementary. Bus transportation is provided to and from Snowbasin.\nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing.\nProgram Cost:\n\n$185 standard\n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals)\n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket\, sponsored by Kodiak)\nThe fee includes lift tickets\, instruction\, and transportation. Skiers/Riders must be at a MINIMUM of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on blue runs or above).  Please reach out to us if you have questions regarding ability level before registering.  \nThis program is an introduction to freestyle/freeski or nordic jumping that takes place at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) for students who are intermediate/advanced skiers or riders. Participants will choose either nordic jumping or freestyle/freeski. Instruction provided by Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS). \nFreestyle/Freeski: Explore the terrain parks and mogul courses at the Utah Olympic Park\, the training grounds of the US Ski Team\, with knowledgeable and experienced coaches from PCSS’s Freestyle All Skills Team. Intermediate skiers will ride a range of freestyle/freeski terrain as an introduction to slopestyle and mogul disciplines. Athletes will learn and hone basic skills in the following areas: skiing switch (backwards)\, sliding rails and boxes\, hitting various sized jumps (incorporating basic tricks like grabs and spins when ready)\, and maintaining an aggressive stance while finding rhythm in an entry-level competition-style mogul course. \nNordic Jumping: Experience the thrill of ski jumping in a safe and controlled environment. Skiers will spend their time on our small nordic jumps and progress from the landing hill of the smallest jump (10M) and have opportunities to progress to the 10M\, 20M and even 40M ski jump. DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Alpine Ski and Snowboard program gives kids the opportunity to begin or continue to learn skiing or snowboarding skills alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts\, and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program is for homeschool\, Wasatch Learning Academy\, and Thriving Day Academy students.  \nProgram Details \n\nDates: Thursdays\, Jan 8\, 15\, 22\, 29\, Feb 5\nTime: 12:15 pm – 4:30 pm (Class runs from 1:15 pm – 4:00 pm)\nAge: 1st-5th grades\nVenue: Canyons Village at Park City Mountain Resort\nSkill Level: Lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Advanced skiers/snowboarders may prefer the UOP or Woodward programs.\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from the Canyons side of Park City Mountain Resort. Pick-up and drop-off occurs at South Field Park parking lot on 100 S in Heber.\nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing.\nProgram Cost:\n\n$215 with a season pass\n$240 without a season pass\n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals)\n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket\, sponsored by Kodiak)\nThe fee includes lift tickets (for participants without a season pass)\, instruction\, and transportation. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee\, except for scholarship tickets.\n\n\n\nEquipment: Equipment is not provided unless on full scholarship. \nRegistration Deadline: Registration will close on November 30th at 11:30pm. \nParent Support and Volunteer Opportunities: This program relies on parent volunteers! We need help to keep the program affordable\, and volunteering is a great way to participate. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer form and background check. The link for the background check will be sent after the form is filled out. \n\nProgram Lead: Chaperone the full program and help with email communication with parents. A background check is required and your ticket will be fully refunded after chaperoning all 5 weeks.\nProgram Chaperones: Help the program lead\, ride the bus and earn a half-day ski pass to use while students are in class. To volunteer\, CLICK HERE and navigate to the GO&P Canyons Homeschool Ski/Snowboard Program tab.\n\nImportant Notes \n\nNo refunds will be issued for bad weather\, illness\, or once the program has started.\nStudents who have never skied or snowboarded before must be present at the first lesson.\nEquipment is not provided (except for full scholarship tickets). If renting equipment\, please do so early. Shops sell out or stop selling season rentals in November. If you need help finding a shop\, please contact us.\n\nScholarships Available \n\nRegular Scholarships are available for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch or with annual incomes below $50\,000. Select a Scholarship ticket during registration.\nPartial Scholarships are available for families with incomes between $50\,000 and $120\,000.
