DESCRIPTION:This special one-day session is designed to give kids the opportunity to go tubing at Woodward with friends from their own school. Participants should already be able to turn and stop independently and are ready to gain more control\, consistency\, and confidence on the mountain. Must be at least 7 years old to participate. This program is for students in the Ogden School District only.  \nProgram Details \n\nDates: January 7\, 14\, 21\, 28\nTime: 2-4 PM (on the snow)\nAge: 3rd-6th graders\nVenue: Snowbasin\nSkill Level: Lessons are designed for skiers and snowboarders already able to turn and stop independently.\nTransportation: Meet up location is Polk Elementary. Bus transportation is provided to and from Snowbasin.\nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing.\nProgram Cost:\n\n$185 standard\n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals)\n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket\, sponsored by Kodiak)\nThe fee includes lift tickets\, instruction\, and transportation. DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT! Skiers/Riders must be at a MINIMUM of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on blue runs or above).  Please reach out to us if you have questions regarding ability level before registering.  \nThis program is an introduction to freestyle/freeski or nordic jumping that takes place at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) for students who are intermediate/advanced skiers or riders. Participants will choose either nordic jumping or freestyle/freeski. Instruction provided by Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS). \nFreestyle/Freeski: Explore the terrain parks and mogul courses at the Utah Olympic Park\, the training grounds of the US Ski Team\, with knowledgeable and experienced coaches from PCSS’s Freestyle All Skills Team. Intermediate skiers will ride a range of freestyle/freeski terrain as an introduction to slopestyle and mogul disciplines. Athletes will learn and hone basic skills in the following areas: skiing switch (backwards)\, sliding rails and boxes\, hitting various sized jumps (incorporating basic tricks like grabs and spins when ready)\, and maintaining an aggressive stance while finding rhythm in an entry-level competition-style mogul course. \nNordic Jumping: Experience the thrill of ski jumping in a safe and controlled environment. Skiers will spend their time on our small nordic jumps and progress from the landing hill of the smallest jump (10M) and have opportunities to progress to the 10M\, 20M and even 40M ski jump. This program can be done on any alpine skis (poles are not used).  \nNordic Combine: For students interested in learning about the sport of Nordic Combine (a combination of ski jumping & cross country skiing)\, please contact Adam at aloomis@parkcityss.org for program options with Park City Ski and Snowboard.  \nDates: Thursdays Jan 8\, 15\, 22\, 29 and Feb 5; 1:15-3 pm \nProgram Fee: $230 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, UOP pass\, and instruction. \nVolunteers Needed: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Advanced skiers/snowboarders may prefer the UOP or Woodward programs.\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from the Canyons side of Park City Mountain Resort. DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT! Skiers/Riders must be at a MINIMUM of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on blue runs or above).  Please reach out to us if you have questions regarding ability level before registering.  \nThis program is an introduction to freestyle/freeski\, freestyle snowboarding or nordic jumping that takes place at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) for students who are intermediate/advanced skiers or riders. Participants will choose either nordic jumping\, freestyle/freeski\, or freestyle snowboarding. Instruction provided by Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS). \nFreestyle/Freeski: Explore the terrain parks and mogul courses at the Utah Olympic Park\, the training grounds of the US Ski Team\, with knowledgeable and experienced coaches from PCSS’s Freestyle All Skills Team. Intermediate skiers will ride a range of freestyle/freeski terrain as an introduction to slopestyle and mogul disciplines. Athletes will learn and hone basic skills in the following areas: skiing switch (backwards)\, sliding rails and boxes\, hitting various sized jumps (incorporating basic tricks like grabs and spins when ready)\, and maintaining an aggressive stance while finding rhythm in an entry-level competition-style mogul course. \nNordic Jumping: Experience the thrill of ski jumping in a safe and controlled environment. Skiers will spend their time on our small nordic jumps and progress from the landing hill of the smallest jump (10M) and have opportunities to progress to the 10M\, 20M and even 40M ski jump. This program can be done on any alpine skis (poles are not used).  \nNordic Combine: For students interested in learning about the sport of Nordic Combine (a combination of ski jumping & cross country skiing)\, please contact Adam at aloomis@parkcityss.org for program options with Park City Ski and Snowboard.  \nSnowboard: Get started in the exciting world of Freestyle Snowboarding at the UOP with incredible terrain and incredible coaches. The UOP offers a variety of jumps and boxes to fast-forward your riding and have some fun on the hill with some new friends. Coaches will focus on skill development and some freestyle terrain. Advanced skiers/snowboarders may prefer the UOP or Woodward programs.\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from Park City Mountain Resort. This program takes place at Park City Mountain Ski Resort. \nThe program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of parent volunteers. Students then board a bus for transport to the ski hill where they will have a two (2) hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. \nDates: Mondays Jan. 12\, 26\, Feb 2\, 9; (no class on Jan. 19) \nTime: 3:00-6:30pm \nProgram Fee:  $185 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. DESCRIPTION:This special one-day session is designed to give students the opportunity to go tubing at Soldier Hollow with friends from their own school. \nDate: Tuesday\, February 3rd \nTime: 2:30-4:45pm (tubing from 2:45-4:15pm) \nTransportation: Thanks to a special grant we are able to provide transportation to and from Soldier Hollow tubing hill from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle Schools. Skiers/Riders must be at a MINIMUM of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on blue runs or above).  Please reach out to us if you have questions regarding ability level before registering.  \nThis program is an introduction to freestyle/freeski\, freestyle snowboarding or nordic jumping that takes place at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) for students who are intermediate/advanced skiers or riders. Participants will choose either nordic jumping\, freestyle/freeski\, or freestyle snowboarding. Instruction provided by Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS). \nFreestyle/Freeski: Explore the terrain parks and mogul courses at the Utah Olympic Park\, the training grounds of the US Ski Team\, with knowledgeable and experienced coaches from PCSS’s Freestyle All Skills Team. Intermediate skiers will ride a range of freestyle/freeski terrain as an introduction to slopestyle and mogul disciplines. Athletes will learn and hone basic skills in the following areas: skiing switch (backwards)\, sliding rails and boxes\, hitting various sized jumps (incorporating basic tricks like grabs and spins when ready)\, and maintaining an aggressive stance while finding rhythm in an entry-level competition-style mogul course. \nNordic Jumping: Experience the thrill of ski jumping in a safe and controlled environment. Skiers will spend their time on our small nordic jumps and progress from the landing hill of the smallest jump (10M) and have opportunities to progress to the 10M\, 20M and even 40M ski jump. This program can be done on any alpine skis (poles are not used).  \nNordic Combine: For students interested in learning about the sport of Nordic Combine (a combination of ski jumping & cross country skiing)\, please contact Adam at aloomis@parkcityss.org for program options with Park City Ski and Snowboard.  \nSnowboard: Get started in the exciting world of Freestyle Snowboarding at the UOP with incredible terrain and incredible coaches. DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Intro/Progression to skiing or snowboarding program will give kids the opportunity to learn and progress their skiing or snowboarding skills alongside their peers. This program is for those who are brand new to skiing/snowboarding or at a beginner/ beginner-intermediate level. This program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nThis is a program for North Summit students 1st-4th grade. The program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of their guardian and/or parent volunteers. Students will take YSA provided transportation to Woodward where they will have a two (2) hour lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is over\, students will be brought back to the school to be picked up. \nDates: Mon. Feb. 23\, March 2\, 9\, 16 2026 \nTime:  2:45-4:45; Transportation will arrive around 2:00pm with an aim to be at Woodward around 2:45pm and return to the school around 5:15 pm. \nProgram Fee:  $185 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. \nRegistration Deadline: Registration will close on Jan. 30\, 2026 \nVolunteers Needed: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Program Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. As a Program Chaperone\, you must be able to attend the full session of the program\, pass a background check and complete the volunteer packet. Please secure rentals as soon as possible. If you are having difficulty finding a rental shop\, please contact Jana Johnson ASAP. Rentals are included with the scholarship ticket only. \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship\, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.\n\nSibling Discount: Sibling discounts are available with the purchase of a standard ticket. Please use the discount code found at the end of the registration at checkout. If you have an issue with the discount code\, let us know and we will refund you the discounted amount. Siblings must be in the same program but don’t need to be doing the same sport. \nIMPORTANT NOTES \n\nNo refunds will be issued for bad weather\, illness\, or once the program has started.\nTransportation is provided.\nEquipment will be provided to those who select the scholarship ticket thanks to our wonderful partners. Information about equipment pickup will be sent out a few weeks before the start of the program.\nEquipment is not provided with a standard ticket. If rentals are needed\, please secure those ASAP.\n\nCancellation Policy: \n\n\n\nThe Youth Sports Alliance does not issue refunds after the registration deadline. Refunds requested before the deadline will incur a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations due to medical reasons may be considered prior to the program start date\, with a $25 administrative fee applied. Programs run rain or shine\, and no refunds will be given due to weather.
