SUMMARY:GO&P Cross Country Skiing Session 1
DESCRIPTION:Cross country skiing is a great way to build fitness and enjoy being outdoors with friends\, and the Get Out & Play – Cross Country Skiing program is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games\, drills\, and skiing with peers. \nGrades: 1st – 5th \nSession 1 Dates: Jan 8\, 15 & 22nd \nTime: 1:15pm – 3:00pm \n\nBus will leave school at 12:45pm\n\nLocation: White Pine Nordic Center \nTransportation is provided for this program \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship\, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.\n\nEquipment is provided for students at no cost through the White Pine Nordic Center\, and instructors are from the Park City Ski and Snowboard Nordic Team. We do need a parent chaperone each week to help out on the trails with the classes. If you would like to volunteer\, but don’t own your own equipment\, you may borrow some from White Pine free of charge.  \nFor students interested in learning about the sport of Nordic Combined (a combination of ski jumping & cross country skiing) contact Adam Loomis (aloomis@parkcityss.org) for program options through Park City Ski and Snowboard. \nIMPORTANT NOTES \n\nWe will ski regardless of the weather\, so no refunds will be given for bad weather\, or once the program begins.\n\nNational Ability Center (NAC) Assistance: If your child will need assistance from the NAC\, please contact Mallory Dehm at mallory.dehm@nationalabilitycenter.org once you’ve completed registration. \n\n\nIllness: Please do not send your child to the program if they are home due to illness\, or were picked up early from school due to illness\, or are exhibiting symptoms of illness the days of the program. SUMMARY:GO&P Woodward Freestyle Progression for JRES & TSES 2027
DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT! Skiers must be at a minimum of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on Blue runs or above). Snowboarders must be able to link turns on intermediate runs. \nIntroduction to terrain parks including park etiquette\, transitions and small features; more advanced students learn tricks on rails\, jumps and in the halfpipe following safe progressions.  All students learn from our professional Woodward coaches and use our innovative terrain parks. \nDates: Fridays\, January 8\, 15\, 22 & 29th\n  \nTime: 1:30-3pm\, not including transportation time\n \nTransportation is provided for this program\n  \nImportant Notes:\n\nWe will ski regardless of the weather\, and no refunds will be available for bad weather.\nSupport for participants with disabilities: If your child needs support from Wasatch Adaptive Sports\, please contact the WAS program staff at 801-834-0476 or programs@wasatchadaptivesports.org \n\n\nScholarships: \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually.
