SUMMARY:ACTiV8 - Intro to Dog Sledding
DESCRIPTION:Come explore the world of dog sledding and animal rescue at Rancho Luna Lobos! Dana and Fernando will lead students through team building activities and dryland dog sled rides while teaching them about dog wellness\, feeding and general care. These activities are designed to inspire students to chase their own dreams and give them tools to overcome obstacles. \n*Students will be around a lot of dogs\, and they are quite loud\, so please make sure your child is comfortable in this environment. \nTransportation will be provided! \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. A volunteer for program chaperone will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please select the program chaperone ticket or contact heather@ysausa.org with questions. This person will need to ride the bus each week and will need to stay at the venue during the session. If purchasing a chaperone ticket\, you must be able to attend all sessions of the program\, complete the volunteer form and pass a background check. DESCRIPTION:Get Ready to Ski & Snowboard with Athletic Republic Park City \nGet ready for an incredible winter on the mountain with Athletic Republic Park City’s Get Ready to Ski & Snowboard program! Designed for youth athletes of all ability levels\, this fun and engaging program helps participants build the strength\, balance\, coordination\, and movement skills that create a strong foundation for ski season. Through games\, agility drills\, balance training\, strength exercises\, and movement-based activities\, participants will improve body awareness\, joint stability\, and overall athleticism while developing the confidence to move efficiently on the slopes. Whether your child is skiing for the first time or preparing for another season in the mountains\, Get Ready to Ski & Snowboard will help them become stronger\, more coordinated\, and better prepared for a fun and successful winter. \nDates: Fridays\, October 9\, 30\, November 6 and 13th  \nTime: 2:30-3:30pm \nLocation: Athletic Republic Studios at 3126 Quarry Road\, Suite G\, Park City\, UT 84098 \nTransportation is not provided for this program. \nBefore the first class\, all participants must complete the Athletic Republic waiver. SUMMARY:Grit & Guidance: A Confidence\, Leadership & Resilience Workshop with Lindsey Vonn Foundation and Winter Sports School for Grades 6-8
DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance\, Lindsey Vonn Foundation\, and Winter Sports School are excited to once again partner for Grit & Guidance\, an interactive workshop designed to help students build confidence\, resilience\, and leadership skills both on and off the field of play.  Grounded in the Lindsey Vonn Foundation’s social-emotional learning curriculum\, participants will engage in hands-on activities\, small-group discussions\, and guided reflection as they explore what it means to navigate challenges\, persevere through setbacks\, build healthy relationships\, and lead with confidence. Each workshop is co-facilitated by Lindsey Vonn Foundation Youth Ambassadors and Winter Sports School student mentors\, creating a supportive\, near-peer environment where students can learn from young leaders with shared experiences.  To better support students at different developmental stages\, this year’s workshops will be offered as two separate sessions:  Grades 3–5 | October 2 | 3:15–5:00 PM & Grades 6–8 | October 9 | 3:15–5:00 PM.  All participants will receive a welcome bag and a guided reflection journal to continue building confidence\, resilience\, and leadership beyond the workshop.\n\nPartial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs.
