SUMMARY:GOAP NAC Multi-Sport Program for South Summit
DESCRIPTION:Join us for three weeks of fun\, friendship\, and skill-building through inclusive programming at the National Ability Center. All skill levels are welcome! This program is open to 1st – 4th grade kids with and without disabilities—providing opportunities for community\, connection\, and belonging. Students will participate in a session of archery\, a session of indoor climbing and a session of cycling (bikes will be provided). \nClose-toed shoes are required for all activities. Waivers for participation will be sent by the NAC once registration is closed. The waiver is a two step process\, so please make sure to verify your email after filling out the waiver. \n*Registration will close Aug. 30\, 2026 at 11:30pm.  \nTransportation will be provided for this program from South Summit Elementary as long as we have a parent chaperone.  \nDates: September 11\, 18 & 25 2026 \nTime: 2-4 pm. Program runs at the NAC 2:30-3:30 pm. \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Triathlon teaches self discipline\, confidence and healthy lifestyles. \nThis 4 week session meets at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse\, and is geared toward kids who know the basics of swimming\, biking and running but want to improve their skills and feel more confident with each discipline. Cycling will be on both paved and gravel paths\, so mountain bikes are preferred. SUMMARY:GOAP North Summit- Woodward Indoor Multi Sport
DESCRIPTION:Experience all the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class facility including trampolines and parkour or skateboarding\, scootering and BMX riding.  Students can choose to participate in either acro (trampolines and parkour) or wheeled-sports (skateboard\, scooter\, or BMX) with professional Woodward coaches. Students will receive some structured coaching and some free time to practice their new skills.  All abilities welcome\, though this program is geared towards beginner to immediate levels.  \nTransportation is provided. The bus will leave North Summit Elementary about 2:15 and arrive back at the school for pick up around 4:45pm. \nVolunteers will be needed in order to provide transportation: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. A volunteer for program chaperone will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please select the program chaperone ticket or contact jjohnson@ywsa.org with questions. This person will need to ride the bus each week and will need to stay at Woodward during the session. An additional bus chaperone may be needed to assist the lead if we have more than 20 students. DESCRIPTION:This is a program for South Summit 1st-5th graders and is for those who have never skied/snowboarded to beginners. If you have done this program before\, please consider signing up for the GOAP South Summit Woodward Progression Program. \nThe Get Out & Play Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding programs give kids the opportunity to begin skiing and snowboarding alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program takes place at Park City Mountain Ski Resort. \nThe program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of parent volunteers. Students then board a bus for transport to the resort where they will have a two (2) hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. \nDates: Mondays January 11\, 25\, Feb. 1\, 8\, 2027 \nTime: 3:00-6:30pm; Lesson 4-6pm \nProgram Fee:  $185 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee. \nTransportation will be provided: \nSouth Summit- The bus will leave from South Summit Elementary School. Fifth graders will need to come to the elementary school to meet the bus. Once the lesson is completed\, students are driven back to school where parents can pick them up. This program is for those who have tried our Learn to Ski/Snowboard program and now want to progress those skills on the slopes at Woodward. This program will help to refine the skills your child has learned and introduce them to new skills. These lessons are designed for skiers/snowboarders who can already turn and stop on their own and are eager to be more controlled\, consistent\, and confident on the mountain. This is not a program for complete beginners. SUMMARY:North Summit GOAP Intro & Progression Skiing or Snowboard at Woodward 2027
DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Intro/Progression to skiing or snowboarding program will give kids the opportunity to learn and progress their skiing or snowboarding skills alongside their peers. This program is for those who are brand new to skiing/snowboarding or at a beginner/ beginner-intermediate level. \nThis is a program for North Summit students 1st-4th grade. The program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of their guardian and/or parent volunteers. Students will take YSA provided transportation to Woodward where they will have a two (2) hour lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is over\, students will be brought back to the school to be picked up. \nDates: Mondays 2/22\, 3/1\, 3/8\, 3/15 2027 \nTime:  2:45-4:45; Transportation will arrive around 2:00pm with an aim to be at Woodward around 2:45pm and return to the school around 5:15 pm. \nProgram Fee:  $185 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. \nRegistration Deadline: Registration will close on Jan. 31\, 2027. Scholarship tickets with equipment will close Nov. 17\, 2026. If you need a scholarship ticket after Nov. 17th\, please contact Jana Johnson. \nVolunteers Needed: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program.
