DESCRIPTION:Join us welcoming home our 2026 Olympic and Paralympic athletes! \nBe at the Top of Main Brew Pub parking lot at the top of Swede Alley at 4:30pm. Parade starts at 5:00pm sharp. (Park at the High School and catch public transport to the Transit Center)\, please make sure you leave enough time. \nStudents will walk down Main Street and finish at the corner of Main and 7th Street.  Parents should determine a meeting spot or walk with their children in the parade; we anticipate the parade will end 5:20-5:30. Join the festivities after the parade with a presentation on Lower Main 5:30-6:00 with autographs 6:00-7:00. \nPlease note the Youth Sports Alliance is not responsible for your child during the walk down Main Street\, Park City in the parade.

DESCRIPTION:Ever wonder what it would be like to teach skiing or snowboarding? Here’s a great way to find out! Participate in the Junior Instructor Program\, sponsored by YSA and the Professional Ski Instructors of America – American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI). \nLearn what it’s like to work as an instructor and earn a nationally-recognized certificate that can open the door to teaching at a local resort. \nTo participate in this course you MUST complete all sessions.\nDates: \nApril 6th-8th from 9:00AM-4:00PM   Arrival Time: 8:45AM Instruction Time: 9:00-12:00 & 1:00-4:00 Each day  Lunch: Lunch  is free time from 12:00-1:00. Please bring a home lunch\, or money to purchase a lunch in our lodge. Students will be able to eat lunch in our ski school lunchroom if they would like. Gear: Participants will be responsible for bringing their own personal gear. Approximate outline of Daily Schedule: (subject to change based on content needs) Day 1: 9:00-12:00 & 1:00-4:00 (Instruction Day) Day 2: 9:00-12:00 (Instruction) & 1:00-4:00 (Shadow) Day 3: 9:00-12:00 (Instruction) & 1:00-4:00 (Shadow) + Certification Ceremony Waiver information: Please use the link provided below to access and sign Solitude’s waiver\, which is embedded in the registration ticket.  This MUST be done in order to participate: Solitude WAIVER Participant Requirements:  Age: 16-18 Ability Level: Must meet a minimum of Beginner Level to participate in program – Must be comfortable loading/unloading lift prior to program. Must be able to consistently control speed and turns on Green Terrain. Able to come to a complete stop on green terrain. Junior Instructor Certificate E-Learning Course: Participants will need to complete the required E-Learning courses prior to the on-snow learning section. (3 Courses\, 3 estimated hours). We ask that YSA facilitates this outside of the Ski and Ride School\, however they would like. I think it’s reasonable for students to be assigned this course work 1-2 weeks prior and tasked to work on it in their own time\, sending confirmation of completion to YSA to be tracked. If it’s needed\, I’m happy to write an outline or record a video giving instruction on how to navigate the website and which courses to complete for guidance that participants can be sent. Letter of Intent: Participants will need a letter of intent prior to the program start. Ceremony: Students who have completed all the required materials will receive a certificate of completion\, and a JR Instructor Certification Pin. \nTaking Part In This Program: \n\nMakes you a better skier or snowboarder\nConnects you with others who share your snowsports passion\nHelps you develop important career and life skills\, such as: Communication\, Dedication\, Discipline\, Independence\, Instruction\, Leadership\, Group management\, Professionalism\, Public speaking\nGives you a solid foundation of skills to help you work in the snowsports industry during and after high school.\n\nProgram Requirements \n\nParticipate in 2 hours of classroom learning including three online learning units.\nComplete a 12-hour training course on snow at a local resort. Lift tickets will be provided for on snow sessions.\nShadow 6 hours of lessons at the resort’s ski and ride school.\nDemonstrate a minimum sliding ability in 2 areas: 1) Must show the ability to safely ski or ride in a group on blue terrain. 2) Must have the ability to maneuver safely in a learning area and around all surface lifts or up/down hills and trails.\nComplete the course portfolio and have it signed by a snowsports supervisor.\nWrite and submit a letter of intent that describes why you want to become a snowsports instructor. DESCRIPTION:Experience all the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility including trampolines\, parkour\, skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding.  Students will choose Wheeled Sports (skateboarding and scooters) or Acro (parkour and trampolines). Students will receive some structured coaching and some free time to practice their new skills.  All abilities welcome. \nTransportation is provided. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a three-week keelboat sailing program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Fridays\, September 11\, 18 and 25th\, pickup 1:35\, return at 4:15  \nCome sail this spring with Park City Sailing for 2 keelboat sailing lessons at the Jordanelle Reservoir! Open to new and returning students. Instructors will review sailing basics and expand sailing skills for returning students. This is also a great opportunity for any new or experienced sailors interested in regional sailing team opportunities. \nTransportation is provided from Ecker Hill Middle School.  \nPlease fill out the 2026 Sailing PCSA Waiver and email it to angie@ysausa.org. \nProgram Chaperone: To run this program with transportation we need a parent bus chaperone to meet the students at the school and ride the bus to and from Jordanelle. SUMMARY:GO&P Ice Skating
DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of skating\, falling and how to get up. Kids will be divided up into groups and rotate through different stations that will teach specific skill sets\, play games and allow for “free skate” time.  Each of the following weeks will  focus on a specific type of skating\, including figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities). \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that that this program also focuses on “Fun On Ice” to get the kids out on the ice skating and having a good time with their friends. SUMMARY:ACTiV8 RISE Boxing
DESCRIPTION:Students will learn the fundamentals of boxing in a supportive and encouraging environment through 4 weeks of 1 hour sessions. The session will cover footwork\, punching technique\, combinations\, rules of boxing and application of the sport. Students will develop skills in a non-contact environment that will give them an understanding of the sweet science. Students will get to see the discipline and skill required for boxing in a safe and controlled environment and will develop a base level of skill over the course of the session. \nDates: November 20\, December 4\, 11 & 18th  \nTime: 2:00-3:00pm \nLocation: RISE Boxing Gym\, 2720 Rasmussen Rd. Ste A4 Park City\, Utah 84098 (just the other side of the Freeway from Ecker Hill School). \nThere is no transportation provided for this program.  If you are in need of transportation\, please reach out to Angie: 435-243-5701. \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. DESCRIPTION:Ever wonder what it would be like to teach skiing or snowboarding? Here’s a great way to find out! Participate in the Junior Instructor Program\, sponsored by YSA and the Professional Ski Instructors of America – American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI).  \nLearn what it’s like to work as an instructor and earn a nationally-recognized certificate that can open the door to teaching at a local resort.  \nTo participate in this course you MUST complete all sessions.\nDates: \nClassroom at Park City Library – 2 Mondays\, November 23 & December 7th from 3:15-5:15pm \nOn Snow at Park City Mountain Village – Saturday\, December 19th (9:00-4:00pm)\, Saturday\, January  9th (9:00am-4:00pm) \nShadow at least 5 hours of lessons at the resort’s Ski and Snowboard School \n\nAvailable Shadow Dates\n\nTaking Part In This Program:  \n\nMakes you a better skier or snowboarder \nConnects you with others who share your snowsports passion \nHelps you develop important career and life skills\, such as: Communication\, Dedication\, Discipline\, Independence\, Instruction\, Leadership\, Group management\, Professionalism\, Public speaking\nGives you a solid foundation of skills to help you work in the snowsports industry during and after high school. \n\nProgram Requirements \n\nParticipate in 4 hours of classroom learning including three online learning units. \nComplete a 12-hour training course on snow at a local resort. Lift tickets will be provided for on snow sessions.\nShadow at least 5 hours of lessons at the resort’s ski and ride school.\nDemonstrate a minimum sliding ability in 2 areas:\n\n1) Must show the ability to safely ski or ride in a group on blue terrain.\n2) Must have the ability to maneuver safely in a learning area and around all surface lifts or up/down hills and trails.\n\n\nComplete the course portfolio and have it signed by a snowsports supervisor.\nWrite and submit a letter of intent that describes why you want to become a snowsports instructor. Students will have the option to apply for a seasonal position as a Junior Instructor at the host resort after completing this course.\n\nOption for employment with Park City Mountain (subject to interview). DESCRIPTION:This special one-day session is designed to give kids the opportunity to go tubing at Woodward with friends from their own school. Tube rental is included in the registration fee. \nNo transportation is provided to and from Woodward for this session. \nDate: December 3rd \nTimes: 4:15-6:15pm \nPartial Scholarship Availability:  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If you earn less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you earn more than $50\,000 annually but less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship.
