SUMMARY:GOAP Skiing and Snowboarding at Brighton - Wallace Stegner SLC
DESCRIPTION:We’re thrilled to partner again with Ski Utah and Brighton Resort to give Wallace Stegner students the chance to hit the slopes\, build their skills\, and have a whole lot of fun! Whether your student is brand new to skiing or snowboarding or ready to take their skills to the next level\, this program is a great opportunity to ski alongside their classmates. Space is limited\, so register today and get ready for an unforgettable season on the mountain! Students must be at least 7 years old to participate. \nPlease make note that this program takes place during the school day as set by the resort. Students will be responsible for any missed work. In addition\, schools will have the final say about student participation dependent upon attendance\, grades\, and behavior. \nGrades: 3rd-6th Wallace Stegner SLC Campus \nDates: Nov 30\, Dec 7\, 14\, 21 \nTime: 1-3 PM (on snow) \nCost: $185/ $5o scholarship price \nEquipment: Students will need warm clothing\, coat\, gloves\, ski goggles\, ski pants\, etc… All other ski equipment will be provided. \nTransportation is provided for this program. Pick up and drop off at Wallace Stegner-SLC.  \nScholarships: Deadline is November 18th! \n\nRegular scholarship priced tickets are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually and on free/reduced lunch. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship\, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.\n\nWaiver: This must be filled out for your students in order to participate https://arrival.brightonresort.com/l/77 \nChaperone: We do need 2 parent chaperones each week to help with check in\, riding to the resort\, and being a point of contact in the ski lodge. Chaperone students participate for FREE after the full 4 week program. Please choose a chaperone ticket for your student at checkout. \nIMPORTANT NOTES \n\nWe will ski regardless of the weather\, so no refunds will be given for bad weather\, or once the program begins.\n\nSupport for participants with disabilities: If your child needs support from Wasatch Adaptive Sports\, please contact the WAS program staff at 801-834-0476 or programs@wasatchadaptivesports.org \n\n\nIllness: Please do not send your child to the program if they are home from school due to illness\, were sent home or picked up early from school because they were not feeling well\, or are experiencing symptoms of illness on the day of the program. If your child arrives at the program and tells their instructor they are not feeling well or begins exhibiting symptoms of illness\, they will not be able to participate that day. You will be contacted and asked to pick up your child. \nCancellation Policy:  The Youth Sports Alliance does not issue refunds after the registration deadline. Refunds requested before the deadline will incur a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations due to medical reasons may be considered prior to the program start date\, with a $25 administrative fee applied. Programs run rain or shine\, and no refunds will be given due to weather.
