DESCRIPTION:Week 1\nMondayFeb 27th1:30-5:30pm\nLearn to Ski/Snowboard \nWeek 2\nMondayMar 6th1:30-5:30pm\nLearn to Ski/Snowboard \nWeek 3\nMondayMar 20th1:30-5:30pm\nLearn to Ski/Snowboard \nWeek 4\nMondayMar 27th1:30-5:30pm\nLearn to Ski/Snowboard \nLearn to ski or progress skills on the slopes at Woodward. This program will help to refine the skills you have learned and introduce you to new skills.This is a program specifically for Wasatch middle schoolers (high school students are welcome but will need to be dropped off at RMMS for the bus). \nThe ACTiV8 Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding program gives kids the opportunity to progress skiing and snowboarding alongside their peers. The program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nDates: Monday\, February 27\, March 6\, 20\, and 27 \nTime: 1:30- 5:30pm (The bus will pick up students from Timpanogos Middle School and Rocky Mountain Middle School) \nProgram Fee:  $180 \nThe Program Fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. \nStudents will meet parent volunteers after school in a specified area where the students will get ready for class (get snow clothes and ski gear on). Students then board a bus for transport to the ski hill where they will have a 2½ hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to RMMS and TMS where parents will pick them up. \nThe entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably we need parent volunteers. Volunteers for Lead School Coordinator will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Other volunteer positions include Bus Chaperones. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week mountain biking program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays from 2:30 to 4:30pm on September 11\, 18\, 25 and October 2 \nThis program is for participants who are beginners on trails\, and not for beginners on bikes as students should already know how to ride a bike and may have ridden some trails. We have teamed up with Young Riders who will be providing the coaching staff. \nThe program covers beginner single track trails\, climbing\, descending\, obstacles and safety on the trails. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at Dutch Hollow Trailhead. Dutch Hollow is a fee area. If you stay after dropping off your child you will need to pay the parking fee. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a four-week introduction to biathlon program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Monday\, October 2\, 9\, 30\, and November 6 from 1:30-3:30pm \nThe Soldier Hollow biathlon experience provides a taste of biathlon competition on the 2002 Olympic Biathlon Range in Midway\, Utah. During the 4-week session\, participants will learn firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship using German air-rifles. The second half of the course will introduce shooting with a heart rate and will culminate with a fun mini competition. \nYou must fill out this Soldier Hollow waiver BEFORE the first day of the program. Your child will not be able to participate until it is completed. This program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. DESCRIPTION:The YSA is excited to offer a four-week cross training (weight lifting) program at the Fit Stop for 6th-8th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays from 2:30 to 3:30pm on November 27\, December 4\, 11 and 18 \nOur goal is to create a safe and positive community to cross train\, for all abilities. We focus on building a good foundation in weight training with an emphasis on form. Not only do we have fun while building self esteem but also stamina. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Fit Stop \nRequired Equipment \n\nWaiver\nWater Bottle\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\n\nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If your child qualifies for the free and reduced lunch program and/or your family earns less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you do not qualify for free and reduced lunch but earn less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship.
