SUMMARY:Activ8 Wasatch District– Ski/Snowboard at Sundance 2027
DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding program gives middle schoolers the chance to advance their skiing or snowboarding skills with peers through our partnership with Sundance. This Skiing program in partnership with Ski Utah at Sundance Resort gives youth the opportunity to begin or continue to learn and develop skiing skills alongside their peers. \nProgram Details \n\nDates: Mondays\, February 3\, 10\, 17\, 24 \nTime: 3:30-7 pm (Class runs from 4:30 – 6:30 pm)\nGrades: 6-8 grades\nVenue: Sundance Mountain Resort\nSkill Level: Beginner to Intermediate\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from Sundance. Pick-up and drop-off at South Field Park (at the skate park parking lot). All attendees must ride the provided transportation\, no pick up and drop off at the resort.\nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing.\nProgram Cost:\n\n$185 standard\n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals)\n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket\, sponsored by Kodiak)\nThe fee includes lift tickets\, instruction\, and transportation. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee\, except for scholarship tickets.\n\n\n\nWaiver – Please fill out the online Sundance Waiver this must be filled out prior to December 1st. \nRegistration Deadline: Registration will close on November 30th at 11:30pm. Scholarship registration closes November 18th at 7am.  \nParent Support and Volunteer Opportunities: This program relies on parent volunteers! We need help to keep the program affordable\, and volunteering is a great way to participate. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer form and background check. The link for the background check will be sent after the form is filled out. \n\nProgram Lead: Chaperone the full program and help with email communication with parents. A background check is required and your ticket will be fully refunded after chaperoning all 4 weeks. Purchase the program lead ticket if you can commit to the entire program.\nProgram Chaperones: Help the program lead and ride the bus to and from the venue.\n\nImportant Notes \n\nNo refunds will be issued for bad weather\, illness\, or once the program has started.\nEquipment is not provided (except for full scholarship tickets). If renting equipment\, please do so early. Shops sell out or stop selling season rentals in Nov. If you need help finding a shop\, please contact us.\n\nScholarships Available:  \n\nRegular Scholarships are available for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch or with annual incomes below $50\,000. Select a Scholarship ticket during registration.\nPartial Scholarships are available for families with incomes between $50\,000 and $120\,000. Refunds requested before the deadline will incur a $25 administrative fee. Programs run rain or shine\, and no refunds will be given due to weather.
