SUMMARY:One Day Lift Served Mountain Bike Class for Intermediate and Advanced Riders
DESCRIPTION:Looking to improve your Mountain Bike skills? Come experience the lift served Deer Valley trails with coaching provided by the Deer Valley staff. This program will only be for intermediate to advanced riders (familiar with riding lift-served flow trails) between the ages of 10-14yrs old\, must be comfortable with trails like Pulp Friction\, Rusty Shovel in Round Valley. Work on skills like cornering\, braking and jumps in a safe fun environment. Limited spots available. \nAll registrants must complete the online waiver\, click here to complete and choose Summer Activities. \n\n\n\n\nIntermediate\nComfortable at slower speeds on blue technical and flow trails with roots\, loose rocks and single tracks\, while retaining balance\, changing gears and braking instinctively. Looking to learn how to drop and jump safely and continuing to explore more advanced terrain.\n\n\n\nAdvanced\nComfortable on all blue technical and flow trails\, while retaining balance\, changing gears and braking instinctively at higher speeds on steeper\, more challenging terrain. Has significant mileage on black technical and flow trails with jumps and drops. Working on improving technique on black jumps and technical features.\n\n\n\nExpert\nProficient on all black technical and flow jump trails. Very experienced\, dynamic biker. Able to ride all trails confidently and quickly\, while retaining balance\, changing gears and braking instinctively at high speeds on steeper\, more difficult terrain. Working on gaining experience on double black trails.

DESCRIPTION:Registration will close September 1st \nThe Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a three-week keelboat sailing program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays\, September 8\, 15 and 22\, 1:30-4:30pm (class is from 2-4pm) \nCome sail this spring with Park City Sailing for 3 keelboat sailing lessons at the Jordanelle Reservoir! Open to new and returning students. Instructors will review sailing basics and expand sailing skills for returning students. This is also a great opportunity for any new or experienced sailors interested in regional sailing team opportunities. \nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. Bus will pick up students immediately after school at Timpanogos and then pick up at Rocky Mountain before heading to Jordanelle. \nProgram Chaperone: To run this program with transportation we need a parent bus chaperone to meet the students at the school and ride the bus to and from Jordanelle. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. DESCRIPTION:The YSA is excited to offer a four-week weight lifting program at the Fit Stop for 6th-8th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays Septembe 8\, 15\, 22\, 29 from 2:30-3:30. \nOur goal is to create a safe and positive community to cross train\, for all abilities. We focus on building a good foundation in weight training with an emphasis on form. Not only do we have fun while building self esteem but also stamina. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Fit Stop \nRequired Equipment \n\nWaiver\nWater Bottle\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\n\nRegistration Closes Wednesday\, September 3\, 2025 \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. SUMMARY:ACTIV8 Wasatch Mountain Biking - Fall 2025
DESCRIPTION:Registration closes on Friday\, August 29th \nThe Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week mountain biking program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nThis program is for participants who are beginners on trails\, and not for beginners on bikes as students should already know how to ride a bike and may have ridden some trails. We have teamed up with Young Riders who will be providing the coaching staff. The program covers beginner single track trails\, climbing\, descending\, obstacles and safety on the trails. \nDates: Mondays. Sept. 8\, 15\, 22\, 29 \nTime: 2:30 to 4:30pm \nLocation: Jordanelle Ridge Trail System (often referred to as Coyote) at UVU\, 3111 College Way\, Heber City \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Jordanelle Ridge Trail System at UVU. This program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nRequired Equipment \n\nBike\nHelmet (required\, your child will not be allowed to ride without a helmet)\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\nProtective eye wear (sunglasses are best)\nCycling gloves\n\nVolunteers: Our programs depend on volunteers to keep them running smoothly and affordably.
