SUMMARY:ACTiV8 Wasatch - Intro to Dog Sledding
DESCRIPTION:Come explore the world of dog sledding and animal rescue at Rancho Luna Lobos! Dana and Fernando will lead students through team building activities and dryland dog sled rides while teaching them about dog wellness\, feeding and general care. These activities are designed to inspire students to chase their own dreams and give them tools to overcome obstacles. \nDates: Mondays. Oct. 20\, 27\, Nov. 3\, 10 from 1:30-5pm (class from 2:30-4:30) \nLocation: Rancho Luna Lobos (4733 W. Browns Canyon Rd.)\, transportation will be provided from Rocky Mountain and Timpanogos Middle Schools \n*Students will be around a lot of dogs\, and they are quite loud\, so please make sure your child is comfortable in this environment. \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please select the program chaperone ticket or contact amanda@ysausa.org with questions. This person will need to ride the bus each week and will need to stay at the venue during the session. If purchasing a chaperone ticket\, you must be able to attend all sessions of the program\, complete the volunteer form and pass a background check. If your child qualifies for the free and reduced lunch program and/or your family earns less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you do not qualify for free and reduced lunch but earn less than $120\,000 annually\, and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. The information you choose to share with us is confidential and will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility for a partial scholarship. You may be asked to provide documentation (i.e.\, paystubs\, tax forms\, or W-2s) to confirm your income and/or other financial information.
