SUMMARY:Weilenmann; Ice Skating 2027
DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of skating\, falling and how to get up. Kids will be divided up into groups and rotate through different stations that will teach specific skill sets\, play games and allow for “free skate” time.  Each of the following weeks will  focus on a specific type of skating\, including figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities). \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that that this program also focuses on “Fun On Ice” to get the kids out on the ice skating and having a good time with their friends. This program is not intended to be a supplement to club training. \nThis program is for grades 1st-8th. \nDates: Thursdays Jan 7\, 14\, 21\, 28 and Feb 4; 1:45pm – 2:45pm (Time on ice; does not include transportation to and from school). \nLocation: Park City Ice Arena \nTransportation is provided.  \nRegistration Deadlines: This registration will close Nov. 30\, 2026. \nNo refunds will be given once registration closes except under extenuating circumstances. \nVolunteers: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. As a chaperone you must be able to attend all sessions of the program and must pass a background check.  If Chaperone tickets are sold out\, or you are interested in other volunteer positions\, please click here https://ysausa.org/ways-to-help/#volunteer \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship\, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.\n\n  \n
