SUMMARY:ACTIV8 Wasatch Cross Country Skiing at Solider Hollow
DESCRIPTION:Registration Closes: Tuesday\, December 8th \nCross country skiing is a great way to build fitness and enjoy being outdoors with friends. The ACTIV8 Cross Country Skiing program\, for students in 6th-12th grades is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games\, drills\, and skiing with peers. \nPlease fill out this waiver. Your child will not be able to participate until it is completed. \nDates: Wednesday\, December 16 and Friday\, December 18 \nTimes: 2:30pm – 5:45pm (students will be at Soldier Hollow from 3:15-5:15pm) \nLocation: Soldier Hollow Nordic Center \nTransportation: This program includes transportation from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain middle schools and back afterwards.  \nThis program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nChaperones: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please select the program chaperone ticket. This person will need to ride the bus each week and will need to stay at the venue during the session. If purchasing a chaperone ticket\, you must be able to attend all sessions of the program\, complete the volunteer agreement and pass a background check.  \nPartial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If you earn less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you earn more than $50\,000 annually but less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. Pick up will be during morning hours around 8:30 AM and return drop off by 12:30 PM.  \nScholarships: Deadline is November 18th  \n\nRegular scholarship ticket price is available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Advanced skiers/snowboarders may prefer the UOP or Woodward programs. \nTransportation is provided to and from Thriving Day Academy. *Students must ride the provided transportation to and from the resort\, no drop off or pick up at the resort.* \nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing. \nProgram Cost:  \n$220 with a season pass/$245 without a season pass \n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals) \n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket) \nThe fee includes lift tickets (for participants without a season pass)\, instruction\, and transportation. The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games\, drills\, and skiing with peers. \nGrades: 1st – 5th \nSession 1 Dates: Jan 8\, 15 & 22nd \nTime: 1:15pm – 3:00pm \n\nBus will leave school at 12:45pm\n\nLocation: White Pine Nordic Center \nTransportation is provided for this program \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. SUMMARY:GO&P Wasatch Cross Country Skiing at Solider Hollow 2027
DESCRIPTION:Registration Closes: Monday\, January 4th \nWe are excited to partner with Soldier Hollow to offer a 2 day introduction to the Kicker and Gliders program. Transportation from Daniels Canyon\, Old Mill and Midway elementary schools to Soldier Hollow and back is included.  \nThe Soldier Hollow Kickers and Gliders program is for youth ages 6-11 new to skiing or who are looking to improve their skills. Kickers and Gliders participants will learn the basics of cross-country skiing through exploring the trails\, playing games\, and doing drills on snow. This program is designed to help youth stay active in the outdoors and instill a love for the sport. All equipment is provided to participants. Registration covers equipment to ski\, trail passes\, and coaching. Participants will need to have warm weather clothing to stay warm during the Utah winter.  \nPlease fill out this waiver. Your child will not be able to participate until it is completed. \nDates: Tuesday\, January 12 and Thursday\, January 14 \nTimes: 3:30pm-6pm (students will be at Soldier Hollow from 4-5:30pm) \nLocation: Soldier Hollow Nordic Center \nTransportation: This program includes transportation to and from Old Mill\, JR Smith\, Heber Valley\, Midway\, and Daniels Elementary Schools. \nThis program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nChaperones: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. With 100 spots open\, we will need FIVE parent chaperones each week to help with our program. You must be willing to attend all 4 weeks of the program\, have a background check and complete our volunteer agreement. In return\, your student will participate in the program for FREE! Please choose a chaperone ticket below for your student (do not buy a ticket for an adult). Lift tickets for chaperones are not guaranteed and given at discretion of the resort. Chaperones help with check in\, riding the bus\, and serving as a point of contact for the resort in case of emergencies. \n  \nIMPORTANT NOTES \n\nWe will ski regardless of the weather\, so no refunds will be given for bad weather\, or once the program begins.\n\nSupport for participants with disabilities: If your child needs support from Wasatch Adaptive Sports\, please contact the WAS program staff at 801-834-0476 or programs@wasatchadaptivesports.org \n\n\nIllness: Please do not send your child to the program if they are home from school due to illness\, were sent home or picked up early from school because they were not feeling well\, or are experiencing symptoms of illness on the day of the program. If your child arrives at the program and tells their instructor they are not feeling well or begins exhibiting symptoms of illness\, they will not be able to participate that day. You will be contacted and asked to pick up your child. \nCancellation Policy:  The Youth Sports Alliance does not issue refunds after the registration deadline. Refunds requested before the deadline will incur a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations due to medical reasons may be considered prior to the program start date\, with a $25 administrative fee applied. Programs run rain or shine\, and no refunds will be given due to weather.\n
