Through games\, agility drills\, balance training\, strength exercises\, and movement-based activities\, participants will improve body awareness\, joint stability\, and overall athleticism while developing the confidence to move efficiently on the slopes. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance\, Lindsey Vonn Foundation\, and Winter Sports School are excited to once again partner for Grit & Guidance\, an interactive workshop designed to help students build confidence\, resilience\, and leadership skills both on and off the field of play.  Grounded in the Lindsey Vonn Foundation’s social-emotional learning curriculum\, participants will engage in hands-on activities\, small-group discussions\, and guided reflection as they explore what it means to navigate challenges\, persevere through setbacks\, build healthy relationships\, and lead with confidence. Each workshop is co-facilitated by Lindsey Vonn Foundation Youth Ambassadors and Winter Sports School student mentors\, creating a supportive\, near-peer environment where students can learn from young leaders with shared experiences.  To better support students at different developmental stages\, this year’s workshops will be offered as two separate sessions:  Grades 3–5 | October 2 | 3:15–5:00 PM & Grades 6–8 | October 9 | 3:15–5:00 PM.  All participants will receive a welcome bag and a guided reflection journal to continue building confidence\, resilience\, and leadership beyond the workshop.\n\nPartial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. DESCRIPTION:The ACTiV8 Indoor climbing program is a wonderful opportunity where students will get to experience the excitement of indoor rock climbing at The Front. The main goals of the program are to have fun\, learn climbing fundamentals\, and develop powerful friendships. The experienced staff at The Front will work with your child as they develop their strength and technique\, learn about proper gear use\, and build teamwork and communication skills. Everything is taught in a non-competitive atmosphere. This program is for students who attend the Sunset Campus of Wallace Stegner Academy and homeschool. Transportation will only be provided pick up/drop off at WS-Sunset. \nDates: Mondays October 12\, 26\, November 2 \nTimes: 4-5 PM (Pickup will take place after school at 3:30 PM and will return around 5:15 PM) \nGrades: 4-8 \nCost: $60/$20 scholarship \nPlease wear comfortable clothing\, closed toe shoes and socks\, and bring a water bottle \nProgram Chaperone:  Our programs cannot run without parent volunteers. SUMMARY:ACTIV8 Zipline and Adventure Park - Fall 2026
DESCRIPTION:Registration closes Sunday\, Oct. 11 \nThe Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a special 1 day experience for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program at Zipline Utah. \nDates: Monday\, Oct. 19 from 1:30-4:30pm (program is from 2-4pm)  \nLocation: Zipline Utah\, Rainbow Bay\, Deer Creek State Park (transportation included from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle Schools) \n\n\n\n\nCome tackle one of the largest and most challenging ropes courses in the country\, and feel the adrenaline rush of ziplining off an 80-foot tower! Do you have what it takes to conquer all five levels? The Adventure Aerial Park is an open-air obstacle course\, suspended up to 70 feet in the air. As you climb\, each level increases in difficulty\, testing your skills and determination. This experience also includes two 600-foot ziplines and five smaller aerial bridges. Participants must weigh less than 250 lbs. \n\n\n\n\nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. Bus will pick up students immediately after school at Timpanogos and then pick up at Rocky Mountain before heading to Zipline Utah at Deer Creek State Park. \nBus Chaperone: To run this program with transportation we need a parent bus chaperone for each school. Chaperones will meet the students at the school and ride the bus to and from Deer Creek. To volunteer\, purchase your child the chaperone student ticket below. \nScholarship Availability:  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to begin a brand new program and team up with Wasatch Fencing\, an organization dedicated to teaching the sport of foil\, epee and saber fencing since 1983 in Kaysville\, Utah.  The course is designed for beginners and provides opportunities to build confidence\, improve focus\, and develop accuracy through guided instruction and hands-on practice. \nDates : Wednesdays Oct 21\, 28\, Nov 4\, 11 \nTime: 1:15-3:15 PM (Pick up will be afterschool at 12:45 and drop off close to 3:45) \nLocation :  Wasatch Fencing- Transportation will be provided from Ogden Prep Academy \nWhat to Bring:\n– Water bottle\, athletic clothing and footwear (no sandals\, flip flops\, boots\, etc…) \n**** Waiver Information***** \nIn order to participate in this program\, Wasatch Fencing requires two distinct forms/applications to be filled out. One is their waiver and the other is a free membership to US Fencing. These forms MUST be filled out in order to participate in the program. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a four-week art class taught by artist Morgan McCue at Timpanogos Middle School for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays\, Oct 26\, Nov 2\, 9\, 16 from 1:30-3:00pm \nLocation: Timpanogos Middle School \nPushing Boundaries: Creative Expression Through Art \nCreative expression is infinite and there are no boundaries. There is no better way to illustrate that\, than by trying different forms of art from around the world and across history. From Gyotaku (traditional Japanese fish printing)\, to Pop Art\, students will explore their own creative expressions through the lens of four\, very different art styles. The class will allow students to try different techniques\, while learning about their historical context. At the end of the fourth and final class\, we will host a gallery show for friends and family. Students will be encouraged to give a brief presentation on one of their favorite pieces/processes. DESCRIPTION:Registration Closes: Sunday\, October 18th \nExperience the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility including trampolines\, parkour\, skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding. All abilities welcome. Students will choose Wheeled Sports (skateboarding and scooters) or Parkour/Acro (parkour\, acrobatics\, trampolines) as their focus. \nTransportation is provided from Daniels Canyon\, Heber Valley\, Midway\, JR Smith and Old Mill Elementary Schools. \nDates: Monday\, Oct 26\, Nov 2\, 9\, 16 \nTime: 2:30- 5:30pm \nAges: 1st-5th grade (we cannot accommodate kindergarteners) \nProgram Fee:  $185 (standard)\, $50 (scholarship)\, $25 (bus coordinators) \nThe Program Fee includes transportation and instruction. \nStudents will meet the volunteers after school in a specified area. Students then board a bus for transport to Woodward Park City where they will have a lesson with their instructor. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to begin a brand new program and partner with Sara Boulter Photography . In this fun\, hands-on three-week photography class\, students will learn how to take photos that stand out! We’ll explore the basics of composition\, lighting\, storytelling\, and creative techniques that make everyday photos look amazing. Whether they’re using a camera or a smartphone\, students will gain practical skills\, complete fun photo challenges\, and build confidence behind the lens. Only 10 spots available for this program\, sign up today! \nDates : Thursdays Oct 29\, nov 5\,12 \nGrades: 4-8 \n Time: 3:30-4:30 PM \nLocation :  Held onsite afterschool at Wallace Stegner WVC campus \nCost: $50 standard ticket/$20 scholarship ticket (see below) \nWhat to Bring:\n– Water bottle\, a cellphone with a camera (if you have one)\, a camera (if you have one) \nWe have 8 Canon Cameras that may be used for this program.
