SUMMARY:GO&P Alpine District – Ski/Snowboard at Sundance 2027
DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding program gives 2nd-6th graders (must be 8 to participate) the chance to advance their skiing or snowboarding skills with peers through our partnership with Sundance. This Skiing program in partnership with Ski Utah at Sundance Resort gives youth the opportunity to begin or continue to learn and develop skiing skills alongside their peers. \nProgram Details \n\nDates: Fridays February12\, 19\, 26\, and March 5\nTime: 3:45-7:00pm (Class runs from 4:30 – 6:30 pm)\nAge: 2nd-6th grades (must be 8 years old\, no exceptions)\nVenue: Sundance Mountain Resort\nSkill Level: Beginner to Intermediate\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from Sundance. Pick-up and drop-off at Palisades Park\nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing.\nProgram Cost:\n\n$185 standard\n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals)\n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket\, sponsored by Kodiak)\nThe fee includes lift tickets\, instruction\, and transportation. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee\, except for scholarship tickets.\n\n\n\nWaiver – Please fill out the online Sundance Waiver this must be filled out prior to December 1st. \nRegistration Deadline: Registration will close on December 1st at 11:30pm. \nParent Support and Volunteer Opportunities: This program relies on parent volunteers! We need help to keep the program affordable\, and volunteering is a great way to participate. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer form and background check. The link for the background check will be sent after the form is filled out. \n\nProgram Lead: Chaperone the full program and help with email communication with parents. A background check is required and your ticket will be fully refunded after chaperoning all 4 weeks. Purchase the program lead ticket if you can commit to the entire program.\nProgram Chaperones: Help the program lead and ride the bus to and from the venue.\n\nImportant Notes \n\nNo refunds will be issued for bad weather\, illness\, or once the program has started.\nEquipment is not provided (except for full scholarship tickets). If renting equipment\, please do so early. Shops sell out or stop selling season rentals in Nov. In this fun\, hands-on four-week photography class\, students will learn how to take photos that stand out! We’ll explore the basics of composition\, lighting\, storytelling\, and creative techniques that make everyday photos look amazing. Whether they’re using a camera or a smartphone\, students will gain practical skills\, complete fun photo challenges\, and build confidence behind the lens. DESCRIPTION:Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to partner with the Olympic Oval to offer a new and engaging program: Olympic Experience. Each week\, students will be introduced to a different Olympic sport through hands-on learning and skill development. Along the way\, they will also explore the Olympic Oval’s vision: “To bring to life the Olympic & Paralympic spirit in our youth\, our communities\, and athletes from around the world.”  This program inspires students to embrace the values of teamwork\, perseverance\, excellence\, and sportsmanship while experiencing the excitement of Olympic and Paralympic sports.\n\n\n  \nDates : Wednesdays March 3\, 10\, 17\, 24 \nTime: 12:30-1:30 PM (This program will take place during school hours. Parents will need to sign the waiver and give permission for their student to miss instruction time during the day. Attendance\, grades\, and good behavior will be required to participate in this program and will be monitored by school staff. Students will learn proper range safety\, equipment use\, aiming techniques\, arrow release\, and target practice. The course is designed for beginners and provides opportunities to build confidence\, improve focus\, and develop accuracy through guided instruction and hands-on practice.
