DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week indoor climbing program at the Fit Stop for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 program\, sponsored by Kodiak. \nDates: Monday January 12\, 26\, February 2\, 9  from 2:30-3:30 \nLocation: Fit Stop \nThe FitStop youth ACTIV8 program is a wonderful program where students will get to experience the Crag Climbing Wall. Students will learn the basics of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. Along with climbing\, they will learn how to tie into harnesses and climb on rope\, climbing technique\, equipment\, safety\, problem solving\, trust\, teamwork\, strength and endurance\, along with so much more. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Fit Stop \nRequired Equipment \n\nWaiver\nWater Bottle\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\n\nRegistration Closes Monday\, January 5th. \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. DESCRIPTION:This is a program for Wasatch students 1st-5th graders and is for those who have never skied/snowboarded to beginners. If you did this program last year\, please consider signing up for the GOAP Wasatch Woodward Program. \nThe Get Out & Play Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding programs give kids the opportunity to begin skiing and snowboarding alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program takes place at Park City Mountain Ski Resort. \nThe program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of parent volunteers. Students then board a bus for transport to the ski hill where they will have a two (2) hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. \nDates: Mondays Jan. 12\, 26\, Feb 2\, 9; (no class on Jan. 19) \nTime: 3:00-6:30pm \nProgram Fee:  $185 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee. \nTransportation is provided: \nWasatch- Parents/guardians will drop off their children 3:00pm at the South Field Park parking lot on 100 S in Heber with their gear and in their snow clothes. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to the South Field parking lot where parents can pick them up around 6:30. \nVolunteers Needed! To make this program happen affordably\, we need parent volunteers for a School Coordinator position and as bus chaperones. Volunteers for School Coordinator will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please select the School Coordinator ticket. Participants should already be able to turn and stop independently and are ready to gain more control\, consistency\, and confidence on the mountain. Lessons may include terrain park exposure. \nThis is not a beginner program. Beginners should register for the GO&P Wasatch Learn to Ski/Snowboard 2026 program. \nProgram Details \n\nDates: Mondays\, Jan. 12\, 26\, Feb 2\, 9; (no class on Jan. 19)\nTime: 3:00-6:30pm (Class runs from 4:00 – 6:00 pm)\nAge: 1st-5th grades\nVenue: Woodward Park City\nSkill Level: Lessons are designed for skiers and snowboarders already able to turn and stop independently.\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from Woodward Park City. You’ll learn the basics of this sliding sport and be sent headfirst down the smooth ice track at speeds around 50mph! Come prepared with gloves and an adventurous mindset to begin your journey as a skeleton athlete and you’ll leave the park changed by this unique and unforgettable experience. The skeleton programming at the UOP serves as an entry point into US Olympic athlete development programming and you can continue on this path right here in Park City. \nThe program runs for 4 consecutive Fridays with registered participants sliding on all four of the dates. After the program concludes athletes are then welcome to continue training with the UOP Junior Sliding Program (meets on Wednesdays and Saturdays). \nEquipment: The Utah Olympic Park will provide skeleton sleds\, helmets and elbow pads. YOU will need to bring clothes to slide in: Lower body- spandex tights\, sweats or track pants preferably with tapered legs. Upper body-outer layer sweatshirt that is somewhat abrasion resistant\, without hood and not too baggy-basically clothes that can get damaged. NO EXPOSED SKIN. Also\, please bring a beanie\, gloves\, and warm jacket and pants for track walk. \nTransportation: Transportation to the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) and athlete pick up from the UOP after sliding will need to be done by parents. Once you drive to the UOP\, pass the Museum on your left and follow the road towards the bobsled track. When you come to a gate (2554#) proceed around the road and the bobsled track will be on your left side. Keep following the road until you come to a parking lot on your left. Please do not park in the parking lot but on the downhill side of the road. DESCRIPTION:Learn to ski or snowboard or progress skills on the slopes of Woodward. The ACTiV8 Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding program gives kids the opportunity to learn and progress alongside their peers and will help refine current skills and introduce students to new skills. This is a program for North Summit and Wasatch middle schoolers. This registration is for North Summit students. \nStudents will meet parent volunteers after school in a specified area where the students will get ready for the session (get snow clothes and gear on). Students will then board YSA transportation to Woodward where they will have a 2 hour ski or snowboard lesson with an instructor.  \nThis program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nDates: Thursdays\, Feb. 12\, 19\, 26\, Mar. 5 \nProgram Time: 3:30-5:30 pm (at Woodward) \nProgram Fee: $185 \n*The Program Fee includes transportation\, lift tickets\, and instruction. \nTransportation: \nNorth Summit– Transportation will be provided if we get enough participants and a chaperone. If transportation can be provided\, we will plan to leave the school around 2:50 and will return to the school around 6/6:15pm. \nVolunteers Needed: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT! Skiers/Riders must be at a MINIMUM of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on blue runs or above).  Please reach out to us if you have questions regarding ability level before registering.  \nThis program is an introduction to freestyle/freeski\, freestyle snowboarding or nordic jumping that takes place at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) for students who are intermediate/advanced skiers or riders. Participants will choose either nordic jumping\, freestyle/freeski\, or freestyle snowboarding. Instruction provided by Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS). \nFreestyle/Freeski: Explore the terrain parks and mogul courses at the Utah Olympic Park\, the training grounds of the US Ski Team\, with knowledgeable and experienced coaches from PCSS’s Freestyle All Skills Team. Intermediate skiers will ride a range of freestyle/freeski terrain as an introduction to slopestyle and mogul disciplines. Athletes will learn and hone basic skills in the following areas: skiing switch (backwards)\, sliding rails and boxes\, hitting various sized jumps (incorporating basic tricks like grabs and spins when ready)\, and maintaining an aggressive stance while finding rhythm in an entry-level competition-style mogul course. \nNordic Jumping: Experience the thrill of ski jumping in a safe and controlled environment. Skiers will spend their time on our small nordic jumps and progress from the landing hill of the smallest jump (10M) and have opportunities to progress to the 10M\, 20M and even 40M ski jump. This program can be done on any alpine skis (poles are not used).  \nNordic Combine: For students interested in learning about the sport of Nordic Combine (a combination of ski jumping & cross country skiing)\, please contact Adam at aloomis@parkcityss.org for program options with Park City Ski and Snowboard.  \nSnowboard: Get started in the exciting world of Freestyle Snowboarding at the UOP with incredible terrain and incredible coaches. The UOP offers a variety of jumps and boxes to fast-forward your riding and have some fun on the hill with some new friends. Coaches will focus on skill development and some freestyle terrain.
