DESCRIPTION:Weilenmann Program \nIMPORTANT! Skiers must be at a minimum of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on Blue runs or above). Snowboarders must be able to link turns on intermediate runs. \nIntroduction to terrain parks including park etiquette\, transitions and small features; more advanced students learn tricks on rails\, jumps and in the halfpipe following safe progressions.  All students learn from our professional Woodward coaches and use our innovative terrain parks. \nDates: Thursdays Jan 9\, 16\, 23\, 30\, Feb 6; 1:30-2:45 pm \nTransportation will not be provided. \nRegistration Deadline: Be sure to register early as registration will close on Nov. 30th. \nIMPORTANT NOTES – We will ski regardless of the weather\, and no refunds will be available for bad weather. \nScholarships: \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Through unique partnerships with local resorts\, the program features instruction by talented ski professionals\, ensuring a fun and supportive learning environment. This program is geared towards Homeschool\, Wasatch Learning Academy\, and Thriving Day Academy students. \nProgram Details: \n\nDates: Thursdays\, January 9\, 16\, 23\, 30\, and February 6\nTime: 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm (Class runs from 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm)\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from the Canyons side of Park City Mountain Resort. Pick-up and drop-off occur at Southfield Park in Heber\, near the pickleball courts and skate park.\nVenue: Canyons Village at Park City Mountain Resort\nProgram Fee:\n\n$210 with a season pass\n$235 without a season pass\n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch)\n$150 sibling\nThe fee includes lift tickets (for participants without a season pass)\, instruction\, and transportation.\n\n\n\nScholarships Available: \n\nRegular Scholarships are available for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch or with annual incomes below $50\,000. SUMMARY:GO&P Ice Skating November 2024
DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of skating\, falling and how to get up. Kids will be divided up into groups and rotate through different stations that will teach specific skill sets\, play games and allow for “free skate” time.  Each of the following weeks will  focus on a specific type of skating\, including figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities). \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that that this program also focuses on “Fun On Ice” to get the kids out on the ice skating and having a good time with their friends. This program is not intended to be a supplement to strict club training. \nDates: Fridays Nov 22 Dec 6 & 13\, 20 \nTimes: 1:30pm – 2:45pm (Time on ice\, does not include transportation to and from school). \nLocation: Park City Ice Arena \nTransportation is provided. Students from Silver Summit Academy and Telos Classical Academy may ride the bus from Trailside Elementary School. Students from Park City Day School may ride the bus from Jeremy Ranch Elementary School. \nWe are looking for a Program Coordinator for each of the schools. Volunteers who are the coordinator for all 4 weeks of the program will receive a significant discount on the program fees for 1 child registered in the program. Interested individuals please choose the chaperone ticket. \nPartial Scholarships Available! We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If you earn less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you earn more than $50\,000 annually but less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. Please complete the Partial Scholarship Application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges. The information you choose to share with us is confidential and will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility for a partial scholarship. SUMMARY:Ski and Snowboard & Multi Sport Simulator with Sim Sports-McPolin
DESCRIPTION:Sim.Sports Ski Simulator training Over 4 weeks\, work on stretching\, agility\, flexibility and of course get ready for ski season by shredding on our ski simulators. Class time includes training\, games\, races and individual time on the ski simulator.  Bring your own ski boots or use our loaner boots. Sim.Sports Golf/Multi-sport Simulator training Golf\, football\, soccer\, arcade games and more!! Over 4 weeks\, join the game and enjoy a full hour of fun as we work through the different sports offered on the Multi-sport simulator.  No equipment necessary. Sneakers recommended for ball sports. This class does not include training on the ski simulators. \n Transportation is provided for this program. \nDates: Fridays November 22\, December 6\,13\, 20 \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually.
