SUMMARY:ACTIV8 Wasatch Zipline and Adventure Park Fall 2024
DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a special 1 day experience for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program at Zipline Utah. \nDates: Monday\, Oct. 7th from 1:30-4:30pm (program is from 2-4pm) \nLocation: Zipline Utah\, Rainbow Bay\, Deer Creek State Park (transportation included from TMS and RMMS) \n\n\n\n\nCome tackle one of the largest and most challenging ropes courses in the country\, and feel the adrenaline rush of ziplining off an 80-foot tower! Do you have what it takes to conquer all five levels? The Adventure Aerial Park is an open-air obstacle course\, suspended up to 70 feet in the air. As you climb\, each level increases in difficulty\, testing your skills and determination. This experience also includes two 600-foot ziplines and five smaller aerial bridges. Participants must weigh less than 250 lbs. \n\n\n\n\nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. Bus will pick up students immediately after school at Timpanogos and then pick up at Rocky Mountain before heading to Zipline Utah at Deer Creek State Park. \nBus Chaperone: To run this program with transportation we need a parent bus chaperone for each school. Chaperones will meet the students at the school and ride the bus to and from Deer Creek. To volunteer\, purchase your child the chaperone student ticket below. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a two-week keelboat sailing program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Monday\, Sep. 16th and 23rd\, 1:30-4:30pm (class is from 2-4pm) \nCome sail this spring with Park City Sailing for 2 keelboat sailing lessons at the Jordanelle Reservoir! Open to new and returning students. Instructors will review sailing basics and expand sailing skills for returning students. This is also a great opportunity for any new or experienced sailors interested in regional sailing team opportunities. \nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. SUMMARY:Lift Served Enduro/Progressive Mountain Bike Class at Woodward 2024
DESCRIPTION:Looking to level up your Mountain Bike skills? Come ride the Woodward Mountain Park with an experienced MTB Coach and an emphasis on improving your skills. This program will be for intermediate to advanced riders (familiar with riding lift-served flow trails) only between the ages of 11-15yrs old. Work on skills like cornering\, braking and jumps in a safe fun environment. \nRegistration comes with a FREE full face helmet provided by the 43i Foundation\, while stocks last \nTransportation and equipment is not provided for this program. \nDates:  Sept 13\, 20\, 27 & Oct 4; 3:15-4:45pm \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Team SoHo in school Roller Ski Program is designed to get kids outdoors and having fun on skis. If you’re curious about roller skiing and want to learn more\, this is the perfect opportunity. Soldier Hollow will provide all the necessary gear—roller skis\, boots\, helmets\, and poles. Participants will enjoy roller skiing on grass and pavement\, playing games\, and learning fun\, technique-based drills. \nYou must fill out this Soldier Hollow waiver BEFORE the program begins. DESCRIPTION:Looking to improve your Mountain Bike skills? Come experience the lift served Deer Valley trails with coaching provided by the Deer Valley staff. This program will only be for intermediate to advanced riders (familiar with riding lift-served flow trails) between the ages of 10-14yrs old\, must be comfortable with trails like Pulp Friction\, Rusty Shovel in Round Valley. Work on skills like cornering\, braking and jumps in a safe fun environment. Limited spots available. Registration comes with a FREE full face helmet provided by the 43i Foundation. \nAll registrants must complete the online waiver\, click here to complete and choose Summer Activities. \n\n\n\n\nIntermediate\nComfortable at slower speeds on blue technical and flow trails with roots\, loose rocks and single tracks\, while retaining balance\, changing gears and braking instinctively. Looking to learn how to drop and jump safely and continuing to explore more advanced terrain.\n\n\n\nAdvanced\nComfortable on all blue technical and flow trails\, while retaining balance\, changing gears and braking instinctively at higher speeds on steeper\, more challenging terrain. Has significant mileage on black technical and flow trails with jumps and drops. Working on improving technique on black jumps and technical features.\n\n\n\nExpert\nProficient on all black technical and flow jump trails. Very experienced\, dynamic biker. Able to ride all trails confidently and quickly\, while retaining balance\, changing gears and braking instinctively at high speeds on steeper\, more difficult terrain.
