DESCRIPTION:Cross country skiing is a great way to build fitness and enjoy being outdoors with friends\, and the Get Out & Play – Cross Country Skiing program is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games\, drills\, and skiing with peers. \nGrades: 1st – 5th \nDates: January 11th\, 18th\, 25th\, February 1st & 8th \nTime: 1:15pm – 3:00pm \nVenue: White Pine Nordic Center. \nTransportation is provided for this program. \nProgram Fee: \n\nStandard fee\, $150\nScholarship Fee\, $50\n\nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship\, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.\n\nEquipment is provided for students at no cost through the White Pine Nordic Center\, and instructors are from the Park City Ski and Snowboard Nordic Team. DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT! Skiers must be at a minimum of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on Blue runs or above). Snowboarders must be able to link turns on intermediate runs. \nThis is an introductory course for 6th graders and up that takes place at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Students will be introduced to freestyle skiing or freestyle snowboarding through instruction provided by Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS). \nProgram Fee: $149 \nThe program fee includes UOP pass and instruction. \nDates: Fridays Jan. 5\, 12\, 19\, 26; 3:15-5:00 pm \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT! Skiers and snowboarders must be at a MINIMUM of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on blue runs or above). Snowboarders must be able to link turns on intermediate runs. \nThis is an introductory course that takes place at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) for students who are intermediate skiers and snowboarders and those looking to learn how to nordic jump. Snowboarders must be a true intermediate and able to make turns down a run similar to Payday at Park City Mountain. Students will be introduced to nordic jumping\, freestyle skiing or freestyle snowboarding through instruction provided by Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS). \nNEW! SUMMARY:GO&P Ice Skating November 2023
DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of skating\, falling and how to get up. Kids will be divided up into groups and rotate through different stations that will teach specific skill sets\, play games and allow for “free skate” time.  Each of the following weeks will  focus on a specific type of skating\, including figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities). \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that that this program also focuses on “Fun On Ice” to get the kids out on the ice skating and having a good time with their friends. This program is not intended to be a supplement to strict club training. \nDates: November 17th\,  December 1st\,  8th 15th. \nTimes: 1:30pm – 2:45pm \nLocation: Park City Ice Arena \nTransportation is provided. Students from Silver Summit Academy and Telos Classical Academy may ride the bus from Trailside Elementary School. Students from Park City Day School may ride the bus from Jeremy Ranch Elementary School. \nWe are looking for a Program Coordinator for each of the schools. Volunteers who are the coordinator for all 4 weeks of the program will receive a significant discount on the program fees for 1 child registered in the program. Interested individuals please contact Lucy@ysausa.org.  \nPartial Scholarships Available! We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If you earn less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you earn more than $50\,000 annually but less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. Please complete the Partial Scholarship Application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges. The information you choose to share with us is confidential and will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility for a partial scholarship. DESCRIPTION:Dates: November 10\, 17\, Dec 1\, 8 \nStudents will learn the fundamentals of boxing in a supportive and encouraging environment through 4 weeks of 1 hour sessions. The session will cover footwork\, punching technique\, combinations\, rules of boxing and application of the sport. Students will develop skills in a non-contact environment that will give them an understanding of the sweet science. Students will get to see the discipline and skill required for boxing in a safe and controlled environment and will develop a base level of skill over the course of the session. \nThis program happens at the RISE Boxing Gym\, 2720 Rasmussen Rd. Ste A4 Park City\, Utah 84098 (just the other side of the Freeway from Ecker Hill School). \nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs.
