DESCRIPTION:Registration Closes: Sunday\, November 22nd \nWe’re excited to partner with Midway Ice Rink to offer ice skating classes. Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to ice skating. There will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater). \nDates: Mondays\, November 30\, December 7\, 14 \nTimes: 3:30pm – 4:30pm \nLocation: Midway Ice Rink \nTransportation is not provided \nIMPORTANT NOTES \n\nWe will skate regardless of the weather\, unless the Midway Ice Rink closes their hill\, and no refunds will be available for bad weather.\nEquipment\, Skate rentals\, are included.\n\nChaperone: We are looking for one adult volunteer to chaperone for all 3 weeks of the program. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited for this brand new program opportunity and to team up with Salt City Swords\, an organization dedicated to teaching fencing and swordsmanship. \nDates : Fridays December 4\, 11\, 18 \nTime: 1:40 – 4:15 (Instruction will be from 2:30-3:30 PM at Salt City Swords) \nLocation :  Salt City Swords – transportation will be provided from Ecker Hill and back \nDiscover the excitement of fencing\, one of the fastest and oldest sports in the Olympics! This four week course will cover the basics of modern-day sword fighting\, including footwork\, blade work\, rules\, etiquette and basic tactics. Students will develop coordination\, confidence\, speed\, and agility while discovering the intricacies of this fascinating sport under the guidance of expert instructors. \nWhat to Bring: Water bottle\, athletic clothing and footwear \nProgram Chaperone:  Our programs cannot run without parent volunteers. SUMMARY:Homeschool only Ski at Deer Valley December 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Alpine Ski and Snowboard program gives kids the opportunity to begin or continue to learn skiing skills alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts\, and utilizes their talented ski instructors. \nDates: December 8\,10\, 15\, 17 \nTimes: 9am-12pm (pick up at Richardson Flat at 8:30am) \nVenue: Deer Valley \nFor skiers aged  7-12 \nWaivers – online waiver must also be completed. \nTransportation is provided for this program to and from Richardson Flat Park and Ride. There will be no pick up or drop off at the resort. All attendees must ride the provided transportation. \nEarly Bird Program Fee: $220 w/season pass; $245 w/o season pass. The Program Fee includes lift tickets (if your child does not have a season pass) and instruction. The ACTIV8 Cross Country Skiing program\, for students in 6th-12th grades is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games\, drills\, and skiing with peers. \nPlease fill out this waiver. Your child will not be able to participate until it is completed. \nDates: Wednesday\, December 16 and Friday\, December 18 \nTimes: 2:30pm – 5:45pm (students will be at Soldier Hollow from 3:15-5:15pm) \nLocation: Soldier Hollow Nordic Center \nTransportation: This program includes transportation from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain middle schools and back afterwards.  \nThis program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nChaperones: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. SUMMARY:GO&P Skiing at Snowbasin in January-Ogden Area Schools
DESCRIPTION:This Skiing program in partnership with Ski Utah at Snowbasin Resort gives youth the opportunity to begin or continue to learn and develop skiing skills alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts\, and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program is for students in the Ogden School District. \nGrades: 3-6 \nDates: Wednesdays in January  6\, 13\, 20\, 27 \nTime: 1:45-3:45 (on snow)  \nCost: $185/$50 scholarship /$165 sibling ticket \nEquipment*: Students will need skis\, boots\, warm clothing\, coat\, gloves\, ski goggles\, ski pants\, etc…  \nTransportation is provided for this program from POLK ELEMENTARY. Pick up will be during school hours around 1:00 PM and return drop off at 5:00 PM. Students are responsible for missed work and parents must check out their students and get them on the bus. Students must be in good standing with academics\, attendance\, and citizenship. \nScholarships: Deadline is November 18th  \n\nRegular scholarship ticket price is available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. Lift tickets are not guaranteed for chaperones and based on resort availability only.  \nIMPORTANT NOTES \n\n\nSupport for students with disabilities – If your child will need assistance from Ogden Adaptive\, please fill out this registration and note YSA in the participation goals box. https://ogdenvalleyadaptive.org/participate\n\n\nIllness: Please do not send your child to the program if they are home from school due to illness\, were sent home or picked up early from school because they were not feeling well\, or are experiencing symptoms of illness on the day of the program. You will be contacted and asked to pick up your child. \nCancellation Policy:  The Youth Sports Alliance does not issue refunds after the registration deadline. Refunds requested before the deadline will incur a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations due to medical reasons may be considered prior to the program start date\, with a $25 administrative fee applied. This program is for Thriving Day Academy students.  \nProgram Details \nDates: Thursdays\, January 7\, 14\, 21\, 28 and February 4 \nTime: 12:15 pm – 4:30 pm (Class runs from 1:15 pm – 4:00 pm) \nAge: 1st-5th grades \nVenue: Canyons Village at Park City Mountain Resort \nSkill Level: Lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Advanced skiers/snowboarders may prefer the UOP or Woodward programs. \nTransportation is provided to and from Thriving Day Academy. *Students must ride the provided transportation to and from the resort\, no drop off or pick up at the resort.* \nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing. \nProgram Cost:  \n$220 with a season pass/$245 without a season pass \n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals) \n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket) \nThe fee includes lift tickets (for participants without a season pass)\, instruction\, and transportation. DESCRIPTION:Cross country skiing is a great way to build fitness and enjoy being outdoors with friends\, and the Get Out & Play – Cross Country Skiing program is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games\, drills\, and skiing with peers. \nGrades: 1st – 5th \nSession 1 Dates: Jan 8\, 15 & 22nd \nTime: 1:15pm – 3:00pm \n\nBus will leave school at 12:45pm\n\nLocation: White Pine Nordic Center \nTransportation is provided for this program \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. SUMMARY:GO&P Woodward Freestyle Progression for JRES & TSES 2027
DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT! Skiers must be at a minimum of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on Blue runs or above). Snowboarders must be able to link turns on intermediate runs. \nIntroduction to terrain parks including park etiquette\, transitions and small features; more advanced students learn tricks on rails\, jumps and in the halfpipe following safe progressions.  All students learn from our professional Woodward coaches and use our innovative terrain parks. \nDates: Fridays\, January 8\, 15\, 22 & 29th\n  \nTime: 1:30-3pm\, not including transportation time\n \nTransportation is provided for this program\n  \nImportant Notes:\n\nWe will ski regardless of the weather\, and no refunds will be available for bad weather.\nSupport for participants with disabilities: If your child needs support from Wasatch Adaptive Sports\, please contact the WAS program staff at 801-834-0476 or programs@wasatchadaptivesports.org \n\n\nScholarships: \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. DESCRIPTION:Cross country skiing is a great way to build fitness and enjoy being outdoors with friends\, and the ACTiV8 Cross Country Skiing program is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games\, drills\, and skiing with peers. \nGrades: 6th-12th \nDates: Jan 8\, 15\, 22 & 29th  \nTime: 3:15pm – 5:00pm  \nVenue: White Pine Nordic Center \nTransportation is not provided \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. We do need a parent chaperone each week to help out on the trails with the classes. If you would like to volunteer\, but don’t own your own equipment\, you may borrow some from White Pine free of charge.  \nFor students interested in learning about the sport of Nordic Combined (a combination of ski jumping & cross country skiing) contact Adam Loomis (aloomis@parkcityss.org) for program options through Park City Ski and Snowboard. \nIMPORTANT NOTES \n\nWe will ski regardless of the weather\, so no refunds will be given for bad weather\, or once the program begins.\nNational Ability Center (NAC) Assistance:  If your child will need assistance from the NAC\, please contact Mallory Dehm at mallory.dehm@nationalabilitycenter.org once you’ve completed registration.\nIllness: Please do not send your child  to the class if they are home due to illness\, or were picked up early from school due to illness\, or are exhibiting symptoms of illness the days of the program.
