DESCRIPTION:Experience all the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class facility including trampolines and parkour or skateboarding\, scootering and BMX riding.  Students can choose to participate in either acro (trampolines and parkour) or wheeled-sports (skateboard\, scooter\, or BMX) with professional Woodward coaches. Students will receive some structured coaching and some free time to practice their new skills.  All abilities welcome\, though this program is geared towards beginner to immediate levels.  \nTransportation is provided. The bus will leave North Summit Elementary about 2:15 and arrive back at the school for pick up around 4:45pm. \nVolunteers will be needed in order to provide transportation: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance\, Lindsey Vonn Foundation\, and Winter Sports School are excited to once again partner for Grit & Guidance\, an interactive workshop designed to help students build confidence\, resilience\, and leadership skills both on and off the field of play.  Grounded in the Lindsey Vonn Foundation’s social-emotional learning curriculum\, participants will engage in hands-on activities\, small-group discussions\, and guided reflection as they explore what it means to navigate challenges\, persevere through setbacks\, build healthy relationships\, and lead with confidence. In this fun\, hands-on three-week photography class\, students will learn how to take photos that stand out! We’ll explore the basics of composition\, lighting\, storytelling\, and creative techniques that make everyday photos look amazing. Whether they’re using a camera or a smartphone\, students will gain practical skills\, complete fun photo challenges\, and build confidence behind the lens. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a one-day Woodward sports program for 1st-5th graders as part of the Get Out and Play Program (GO&P) at Midway Elementary. \nDates: Tuesday\, October 6 from 3:30 to 4:30pm \nLocation: Midway Elementary playground \nThis special one-day session is designed to give kids the opportunity to “taste” the wheel sports and parkour programs available at Woodward (skateboards/scooters). \nStudents will need a helmet if they have one and if they have knee/elbow pads. Woodward will bring scooters and skateboards to borrow but students are welcome to bring their own. \nRegistration closes on Tuesday\, September 28th \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. DESCRIPTION:Join the Summit Dance Project (SDP) for this 4 week session of jazz and hip hop dance. SUMMARY:GO&P Woodward Indoor Multi-Sport
DESCRIPTION:Experience all the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility including trampolines\, parkour\, skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding.  Students will choose Wheeled Sports (skateboarding\, scooters and BMX) or Acro (parkour and trampolines). Students will receive some structured coaching and some free time to practice their new skills.  All abilities welcome. \nTransportation is provided.  \nDates:  Fridays\, October 9\, 30\, November 6 and 13th \nTimes: 1:30-3:00pm \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship\, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.\n\n\nVolunteers: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. Refunds requested before the deadline will incur a $25 administrative fee. SUMMARY:ACTiV8 Art Class: Pushing Boundaries with Morgan McCue
DESCRIPTION:Creative expression is infinite and there are no boundaries.  There is no better way to illustrate that\, than by trying different forms of art from around the world and across history. From Gyotaku (traditional Japanese fish printing)\, to Pop Art\, students will explore their own creative expressions through the lens of four\, very different art styles. The class will allow students to try different techniques\, while learning about their historical context. At the end of the fourth and final class\, we will host a gallery show for friends and family. Students will be encouraged to give a brief presentation on one of their favorite pieces/processes.
