DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to team up again with Spock’s Skate Park for an end of year Skateboard program. \nSpock’s Skate Camp has been inspiring young skaters since 2003\, when founder Spock—an experienced skateboarder and snowboard instructor—started teaching kids the basics of skateboarding in Salt Lake City. With a lifelong passion for skating that began back in 1977\, Spock built the camp around three core values: Safety\, Fun\, and Learning. Today\, the camp features handpicked\, highly trained instructors who know how to work with kids of all skill levels\, helping them build confidence and improve their skating in a supportive and exciting environment. For more information visit the website Spocksskatecamp.com \nBeginner to intermediate and advanced levels\, skaters will work on skills and learn the basics of skateboarding. \nProgram will be in a double session format (Program is only 2 days but will be 2 hours each time) and held at The Vans Park SLC located at the Utah State Fairpark. Transportation is included from the Glendale cluster  – Mountain View\, Parkview\, Edison Elementary schools and Wallace Stegner Academy-SLC Campus. \nDates: Thursdays May 7 and 21 \nTime: 3:30-5:30 PM (at the skatepark) \nWho:  Elementary Students in 2nd-5th grade \nBring helmet\, elbow and knee pads\, skateboard\, and a water bottle. If you do not have equipment\, please let us know. \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually or who are on the free/reduced lunch program. SUMMARY:GO&P Wasatch and South Summit Ice Skating Spring 2026\, sponsored by Kodiak
DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of skating\, falling and how to get up. Kids will be divided up into groups and rotate through different stations that will teach specific skill sets\, play games and allow for “free skate” time.  Each of the following weeks will  focus on a specific type of skating\, including figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities). \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that that this program also focuses on “Fun On Ice” to get the kids out on the ice skating and having a good time with their friends. This program is not intended to be a supplement to strict club training. \nWasatch students: Transportation will be provided for students attending Daniels Canyon\, Heber Valley\, JR Smith\, Midway and Old Mill Elementary schools.  \nSouth Summit students: Transportation is not provided. Parents must arrange their own transportation. This program is offered to students attending Monticello Academy and area homeschool students. Students who do not attend Monticello will need to provide their own transportation. \nDates: Wednesdays Sept 9\, 16\, 23\, 30 \nTimes: 1-2 PM in class; Students will be picked up after school approximately 12:15 and shuttled to the venue. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a three-week keelboat sailing program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays\, Sep 14\, 21 & 28 1:20-4:45pm  \nCome sail this spring with Park City Sailing for 3 keelboat sailing lessons at the Jordanelle Reservoir! Open to new and returning students. Instructors will review sailing basics and expand sailing skills for returning students. This is also a great opportunity for any new or experienced sailors interested in regional sailing team opportunities. \nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. Bus will pick up students immediately after school at Timpanogos and then pick up at Rocky Mountain before heading to Jordanelle. \nProgram Chaperone: To run this program with transportation we need a parent bus chaperone to meet the students at the school and ride the bus to and from Jordanelle. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. If your child qualifies for the free and reduced lunch program and/or your family earns less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you do not qualify for free and reduced lunch but earn less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you will qualify for a partial scholarship. The information you choose to share with us is confidential and will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility for a partial scholarship. You may be asked to provide documentation (i.e.\, paystubs\, tax forms\, or W-2s) to confirm your income and/or other financial information.
