This course and instructors meet the National Safety Standards. \nDates: May 8th and 15th \nTime: 2:30pm-4:30pm. \nLocation: Wasatch Learning Academy (180 East 600 South\, Heber City) \nThis class is for students in 6th-12th grade. It is a two day program and the student must attend both days to be certified. SUMMARY:GOAP Wasatch - Woodward Indoor Multi-Sport (May 2023)
DESCRIPTION:Experience the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility including trampolines\, parkour\, skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding. All abilities welcome. Students will choose wheeled sports (skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding) or parkour/acrobatics as their focus. \nTransportation is provided from Midway\, Heber Valley and JR Smith elementary schools. \nDates: Monday\, May 1\, 8\, 15\, and 22 \nTime: 2:30- 5:30pm \nAges: 1st-5th grade (we cannot accomodate kindergarteners) \nProgram Fee:  $180 (standard)\, $50 (scholarship)\, $50 (bus coordinators) \nThe Program Fee includes transportation and instruction. \nStudents will meet parent/gaurdian volunteers after school in a specified area. Students then board a bus for transport to Woodward where they will have a lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to JR Smith\, Heber Valley and Midway elementary schools where parents/gaurdians will pick them up. \nThe entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably we need parent volunteers. We need one volunteer from each school to be the Lead School Bus Coordinator.  If you can commit to all 4 weeks you can select the discounted Bus Coordinator ticket. Other volunteer positions include bus chaperones. Students will get to see the discipline and skill required for boxing in a safe and controlled environment and will develop a base level of skill over the course of the session. \nThis program happens at the RISE Boxing Gym\, 2720 Rasmussen Rd. Ste A4 Park City\, Utah 84098 (just the other side of the Freeway from Ecker Hill School). \nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of skating\, falling and how to get up. Kids will be divided up into groups and rotate through different stations that will teach specific skill sets\, play games and allow for “free skate” time.  Each of the following weeks will  focus on a specific type of skating\, including figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities). \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that that this program also focuses on “Fun On Ice” to get the kids out on the ice skating and having a good time with their friends. This program is not intended to be a supplement to strict club training. \nDates: April 21st\, 28\, May 5th and 12th. \nTimes: 1:30pm – 2:45pm \n  \nLocation: Park City Ice Arena \nTransportation is provided. Students from Silver Summit Academy and Telos Classical Academy may ride the bus from Trailside Elementary School. Students from Park City Day School may ride the bus from Jeremy Ranch Elementary School. \nWe are looking for a Program Coordinator for each of the schools. DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of skating\, falling and how to get up. Kids will be divided up into groups and rotate through different stations that will teach specific skill sets\, play games and allow for “free skate” time.  Each of the following weeks will  focus on a specific type of skating\, including figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities). \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that that this program also focuses on “Fun On Ice” to get the kids out on the ice skating and having a good time with their friends. This program is not intended to be a supplement to strict club training. \nDates: March 10th\, 24th\, 31st and April 7th. \n**There will not be ice skating class March 17th.** \nTimes: 1:30pm – 2:45pm \nLocation: Park City Ice Arena \nTransportation is provided. Students from Silver Summit Academy and Telos Classical Academy may ride the bus from Trailside Elementary School. Students from Park City Day School may ride the bus from Jeremy Ranch Elementary School. \nWe are looking for a Program Coordinator for each of the schools.
