DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of skating\, falling and how to get up. Kids will be divided up into groups and rotate through different stations that will teach specific skill sets\, play games and allow for “free skate” time.  Each of the following weeks will  focus on a specific type of skating\, including figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities). \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that that this program also focuses on “Fun On Ice” to get the kids out on the ice skating and having a good time with their friends. This program is not intended to be a supplement to strict club training. \nDates: Fridays March 6\, 13 27\, April 3 \nTimes: 1:30pm – 2:45pm (Time on ice\, does not include transportation to and from school). \nLocation: Park City Ice Arena \nTransportation is provided.  \nVolunteers: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. DESCRIPTION:Sim.Sports Ski Simulator training Over 4 weeks\, work on stretching\, agility\, flexibility and of course get ready for ski season by shredding on our ski simulators. Class time includes training\, games\, races and individual time on the ski simulator.  Bring your own ski boots or use our loaner boots. \n  Sim.Sports Golf Simulator training  Golf\, football\, soccer\, arcade games and more!! Over 4 weeks\, join the game and enjoy a full hour of fun as we work through the different sports offered on the Multi-sport simulator.  No equipment necessary. Sneakers recommended for ball sports. This class does not include training on the ski simulators.   \n Transportation is provided for this program. We may cover basketball\, soccer\, tennis\, softball\, lacrosse\, volleyball\, and more in a FUN\, nurturing and positive environment! From our years dedicated to working with youth\, we have the unique games and expertise to help each of your children to grow as a person and an athlete. DESCRIPTION:Dates have been adjusted to Mar. 2\, 9\, 16 \nExperience the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility including trampolines\, parkour\, skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding. All abilities welcome. Students will choose Wheeled Sports (skateboarding and scooters) or Parkour/Acro (parkour\, acrobatics\, trampolines) as their focus. \nTransportation is provided from Daniels Canyon\, Heber Valley and Midway elementary schools. \nDates: Monday\, Mar. 2\, 9\, 16 \nTime: 2:30- 5:30pm \nAges: 1st-5th grade (we cannot accommodate kindergarteners) \nProgram Fee:  $140 (standard)\, $35 (scholarship)\, $20 (bus coordinators) \nThe Program Fee includes transportation and instruction. \nStudents will meet the volunteers after school in a specified area. Students then board a bus for transport to Woodward Park City where they will have a lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to Daniels Canyon\, Heber Valley and Midway elementary schools where parents/guardians will pick them up. \nVolunteers: The entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Intro/Progression to skiing or snowboarding program will give kids the opportunity to learn and progress their skiing or snowboarding skills alongside their peers. This program is for those who are brand new to skiing/snowboarding or at a beginner/ beginner-intermediate level. This program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nThis is a program for North Summit students 1st-4th grade. The program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of their guardian and/or parent volunteers. Students will take YSA provided transportation to Woodward where they will have a two (2) hour lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is over\, students will be brought back to the school to be picked up. \nDates: Mon. Feb. 23\, March 2\, 9\, 16 2026 \nTime:  2:45-4:45; Transportation will arrive around 2:00pm with an aim to be at Woodward around 2:45pm and return to the school around 5:15 pm. \nProgram Fee:  $185 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. \nRegistration Deadline: Registration will close on Jan. 30\, 2026 \nVolunteers Needed: \nOur programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Skiers/Riders must be at a MINIMUM of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on blue runs or above).  Please reach out to us if you have questions regarding ability level before registering.  \nThis program is an introduction to freestyle/freeski\, freestyle snowboarding or nordic jumping that takes place at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) for students who are intermediate/advanced skiers or riders. Participants will choose either nordic jumping\, freestyle/freeski\, or freestyle snowboarding. Instruction provided by Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS). \nFreestyle/Freeski: Explore the terrain parks and mogul courses at the Utah Olympic Park\, the training grounds of the US Ski Team\, with knowledgeable and experienced coaches from PCSS’s Freestyle All Skills Team. Intermediate skiers will ride a range of freestyle/freeski terrain as an introduction to slopestyle and mogul disciplines. Athletes will learn and hone basic skills in the following areas: skiing switch (backwards)\, sliding rails and boxes\, hitting various sized jumps (incorporating basic tricks like grabs and spins when ready)\, and maintaining an aggressive stance while finding rhythm in an entry-level competition-style mogul course. \nNordic Jumping: Experience the thrill of ski jumping in a safe and controlled environment. Skiers will spend their time on our small nordic jumps and progress from the landing hill of the smallest jump (10M) and have opportunities to progress to the 10M\, 20M and even 40M ski jump. This program can be done on any alpine skis (poles are not used).  \nNordic Combine: For students interested in learning about the sport of Nordic Combine (a combination of ski jumping & cross country skiing)\, please contact Adam at aloomis@parkcityss.org for program options with Park City Ski and Snowboard.  \nSnowboard: Get started in the exciting world of Freestyle Snowboarding at the UOP with incredible terrain and incredible coaches. The UOP offers a variety of jumps and boxes to fast-forward your riding and have some fun on the hill with some new friends. Coaches will focus on skill development and some freestyle terrain. The ACTiV8 Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding program gives kids the opportunity to learn and progress alongside their peers and will help refine current skills and introduce students to new skills. This is a program for North Summit and Wasatch middle schoolers. This registration is for North Summit students. \nStudents will meet parent volunteers after school in a specified area where the students will get ready for the session (get snow clothes and gear on). Students will then board YSA transportation to Woodward where they will have a 2 hour ski or snowboard lesson with an instructor.  \nThis program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nDates: Thursdays\, Feb. 12\, 19\, 26\, Mar. 5 \nProgram Time: 3:30-5:30 pm (at Woodward) \nProgram Fee: $185 \n*The Program Fee includes transportation\, lift tickets\, and instruction. \nTransportation: \nNorth Summit– Transportation will be provided if we get enough participants and a chaperone. Beginners should register for the GO&P Wasatch Learn to Ski/Snowboard 2026 program. \nProgram Details \n\nDates: Mondays\, Feb 9th\, 23rd March 2nd & 9th\nTime: 3:45-7:00pm (Class runs from 4:30 – 6:30 pm)\nAge: 2nd-6th grades (must be 8 years old)\nVenue: Sundance Mountain Resort\nSkill Level: Lessons are designed for skiers and snowboarders already able to turn and stop independently. Levels 2-5.\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from Sundance. Pick-up and drop-off occurs at South Field Park parking lot on 100 S in Heber.\nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing.\nProgram Cost:\n\n$185 standard\n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals)\n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket\, sponsored by Kodiak)\nThe fee includes lift tickets\, instruction\, and transportation. DESCRIPTION:Dates:  Thursdays\, Feb 5\, 12\, 19\, 26 \nCost: $50/$20 scholarship \nWe are excited to partner with RISE Boxing for a fun four-week program that will teach students the fundamentals of boxing. Students will learn basic punches and primary defensive moves\, in addition to proper footwork\, range control\, and how to implement the techniques in a controlled and fun environment. This is a great course to learn basic boxing without contact.  All gear is provided. \nThis program will take place on-site after school from 3-4 PM at Wallace Stegner-SLC. Please bring comfortable gym clothing and a water bottle. \nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs.
