SUMMARY:ACTIV8 Wasatch Cross Country Skiing at Solider Hollow
DESCRIPTION:Registration Closes: Tuesday\, December 8th \nCross country skiing is a great way to build fitness and enjoy being outdoors with friends. The ACTIV8 Cross Country Skiing program\, for students in 6th-12th grades is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games\, drills\, and skiing with peers. \nPlease fill out this waiver. Your child will not be able to participate until it is completed. \nDates: Wednesday\, December 16 and Friday\, December 18 \nTimes: 2:30pm – 5:45pm (students will be at Soldier Hollow from 3:15-5:15pm) \nLocation: Soldier Hollow Nordic Center \nTransportation: This program includes transportation from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain middle schools and back afterwards.  \nThis program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nChaperones: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please select the program chaperone ticket. This person will need to ride the bus each week and will need to stay at the venue during the session. If purchasing a chaperone ticket\, you must be able to attend all sessions of the program\, complete the volunteer agreement and pass a background check.  \nPartial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If you earn less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you earn more than $50\,000 annually but less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. This program is for Thriving Day Academy students.  \nProgram Details \nDates: Thursdays\, January 7\, 14\, 21\, 28 and February 4 \nTime: 12:15 pm – 4:30 pm (Class runs from 1:15 pm – 4:00 pm) \nAge: 1st-5th grades \nVenue: Canyons Village at Park City Mountain Resort \nSkill Level: Lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Advanced skiers/snowboarders may prefer the UOP or Woodward programs. \nTransportation is provided to and from Thriving Day Academy. *Students must ride the provided transportation to and from the resort\, no drop off or pick up at the resort.* \nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing. \nProgram Cost:  \n$220 with a season pass/$245 without a season pass \n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals) \n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket) \nThe fee includes lift tickets (for participants without a season pass)\, instruction\, and transportation. If you would like to volunteer\, but don’t own your own equipment\, you may borrow some from White Pine free of charge.  \nFor students interested in learning about the sport of Nordic Combined (a combination of ski jumping & cross country skiing) contact Adam Loomis (aloomis@parkcityss.org) for program options through Park City Ski and Snowboard. \nIMPORTANT NOTES \n\nWe will ski regardless of the weather\, so no refunds will be given for bad weather\, or once the program begins.\n\nNational Ability Center (NAC) Assistance: If your child will need assistance from the NAC\, please contact Mallory Dehm at mallory.dehm@nationalabilitycenter.org once you’ve completed registration. \n\n\nIllness: Please do not send your child to the program if they are home due to illness\, or were picked up early from school due to illness\, or are exhibiting symptoms of illness the days of the program. DESCRIPTION:Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to partner with the Olympic Oval to offer a new and engaging program: Olympic Experience. Each week\, students will be introduced to a different Olympic sport through hands-on learning and skill development. Along the way\, they will also explore the Olympic Oval’s vision: “To bring to life the Olympic & Paralympic spirit in our youth\, our communities\, and athletes from around the world.”  This program inspires students to embrace the values of teamwork\, perseverance\, excellence\, and sportsmanship while experiencing the excitement of Olympic and Paralympic sports.\n\n\n  \nDates : Mondays January 11\, 18\, February 1\, 8 \nTime: 10:30-11:30 AM  (This program will take place during school hours. Parents will need to sign the waiver and give permission for their student to miss instruction time during the day. SUMMARY:GO&P Wasatch Cross Country Skiing at Solider Hollow 2027
DESCRIPTION:Registration Closes: Monday\, January 4th \nWe are excited to partner with Soldier Hollow to offer a 2 day introduction to the Kicker and Gliders program. Transportation from Daniels Canyon\, Old Mill and Midway elementary schools to Soldier Hollow and back is included.  \nThe Soldier Hollow Kickers and Gliders program is for youth ages 6-11 new to skiing or who are looking to improve their skills. Kickers and Gliders participants will learn the basics of cross-country skiing through exploring the trails\, playing games\, and doing drills on snow. This program is designed to help youth stay active in the outdoors and instill a love for the sport. All equipment is provided to participants. Registration covers equipment to ski\, trail passes\, and coaching. This four week course will cover the basics of modern-day sword fighting\, including footwork\, blade work\, rules\, etiquette and basic tactics. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to begin a brand new program and partner with Sara Boulter Photography . In this fun\, hands-on four-week photography class\, students will learn how to take photos that stand out! We’ll explore the basics of composition\, lighting\, storytelling\, and creative techniques that make everyday photos look amazing. Whether they’re using a camera or a smartphone\, students will gain practical skills\, complete fun photo challenges\, and build confidence behind the lens. Only 10 spots available for this program\, sign up today! \nDates : Wednesdays  Feb 17\, 24\,  March 3\, 10 \n Time: 12;15-1:15 PM \nGrades: 4-8 \nLocation :  Held onsite afterschool at Monticello Academy \nCost: $60 standard ticket/$20 scholarship ticket (see below) \nWhat to Bring:\n– Water bottle\, a cellphone with a camera (if you have one)\, a camera (if you have one) \nWe have 8 Canon Cameras that may be used for this program. If you have a camera and would like to use your own\, please bring it. Other lessons will include taking photos with a cell phone. Our cell phone policy will still be place and we will only utilize the camera function during the program. \n  \nScholarship Availability:  We want to provide the opportunity for as many students as possible to participate in our programs. If your child qualifies for the free and reduced lunch program and/or your family earns less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you do not qualify for free and reduced lunch but earn less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. Please complete the Partial Scholarship Application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges. The information you choose to share with us is confidential and will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility for a partial scholarship. You may be asked to provide documentation (i.e.\, paystubs\, tax forms\, or W-2s) to confirm your income and/or other financial information.
