DESCRIPTION:Dates: Monday\, September 12th and 26th\, 1:30-5:00pm \nCome sail this fall with Park City Sailing for 2 keelboat sailing lessons at the Jordanelle Reservoir! Open to new and returning students. Instructors will review sailing basics and expand sailing skills for returning students. This is also a great opportunity for any new or experienced sailors interested in regional sailing team opportunities. Also\, check out our kayaking class which is offered on alternate days (Sep. 19th\, Oct. 3rd) \nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. Bus will pick up students immediately after school at Timpanogos and then pick up at Rocky Mountain before heading to Jordanelle. \nTo make this program happen affordably we need parent volunteers. Volunteers for School Coordinator will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. DESCRIPTION:Dates: Monday\, September 12\, 19\, 26\, October 3 from 2:30-3:30pm at the FitStop \nThe FitStop Youth ACTiV8 program is a wonderful program where kids will get to experience and learn a variety of activities. These activities will include mixed martial arts\, indoor climbing\, and indoor cycling. Children will rotate weekly between activities. \nMMA (Martial Arts Self Defense) – The Progressive Defense Tactics instructional system is more than just physical self defense. It integrates the mind-body-spirit approach to personal protection. This approach to Personal protection gives participants an edge over others. Empowering youth and teenagers through defense classes will help them develop effective defensive strategies and gain confidence. \nThe Crag Climbing Wall – Kids will learn the basis of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. Along with climbing\, they will learn how to tie into harnesses and climb on rope\, climbing technique\, equipment\, safety\, problem solving\, trust\, teamwork\, strength and endurance\, along with so much more. \nCycling- These Indoor cycling classes consist of timed drills and profiles. You will work on developing saddle endurance and a strong cadence. Great for outdoor riders off season to work on climbing skills\, with sprint and recovery training. SUMMARY:SOLD OUT!!! GO&P Wasatch Mountain Biking with Team Utah at Dutch Hollow Fall 2022
DESCRIPTION:The YSA is excited to offer a 4 week mountain biking program for 3rd-5th graders as part of the Get Out and Play Program. \nDates: Mondays from 4:30 to 6:00pm on September 12\, 19\, 26 and October 3 \nThis program is for participants who are beginners on trails\, and not for beginners on bikes as students should already know how to ride a bike and may have ridden some trails. We have teamed up with Team Utah who will be providing the coaching staff. \nThe program covers beginner single track trails\, climbing\, descending\, obstacles and safety on the trails. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at Dutch Hollow Trailhead. Dutch Hollow is a fee area. If you stay after dropping off your child you will need to pay the parking fee. This program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nRequired Equipment \n\nBike\nHelmet (required\, your child will not be allowed to ride without a helmet)\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\nProtective eye wear (sunglasses are best)\nCycling gloves\n\nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs.
