DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a four-week introduction to boxing program with Rise Boxing for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Monday\, January 22\, 29\, February 5\, and 12 from 1:30-2:30 pm \nLocation: Timpanogos Middle School \nStudents will learn the fundamentals of boxing in a supportive and encouraging environment through 4 weeks of 1 hour sessions. The session will cover footwork\, punching technique\, combinations\, rules of boxing and application of the sport. Students will develop skills in a non-contact environment that will give them an understanding of the sweet science. Students will get to see the discipline and skill required for boxing in a safe and controlled environment and will develop a base level of skill over the course of the session. \nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding Progression programs give kids the opportunity to progress their skiing and snowboarding skills alongside their peers. The program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nThis is a program for South & North Summit students (1st-5th grade). This program is for those who have tried our Learn to ski/snowboard program and now want to progress those skills on the slopes at Woodward. This program will help to refine the skills your child has learned and introduce them to new skills. These lessons are designed for skiers/snowboarders who can already turn and stop on their own and are eager to be more controlled\, consistent\, and confident on the mountain. This is not a program for complete beginners. For a beginner program\, please register for the South $ North Summit -Learn to Ski/Snowboard program at Park City Mountain. \nThe program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of parent volunteers. Fifth graders will need to come to the elementary school to load the bus. Students will take YSA provided transportation to Woodward where they will have a 2 hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to the school where parents can pick them up. \nVolunteers needed! The entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably\, we need parent volunteers. Volunteers for Lead Chaperone will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Other volunteer positions include Bus Chaperones. Luego\, los estudiantes abordan un autobús para transportarse a la colina de esquí donde tendrán una lección de esquí o snowboard de 2 horas con su instructor. DESCRIPTION:Cross country skiing is a great way to build fitness and enjoy being outdoors with friends\, and the Get Out & Play – Cross Country Skiing program is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games\, drills\, and skiing with peers. \nGrades: 1st – 5th \nDates: January 26th\, Feb 2nd & 9th \nTime: 1:15pm – 3:00pm leave school at 12:45 \nVenue: White Pine Nordic Center. \nTransportation is provided for this program. \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $100\,000 annually.
