DESCRIPTION:Learn to ski or progress skills on the slopes at Woodward. This program will help to refine the skills you have learned and introduce you to new skills. This is a program specifically for Wasatch middle schoolers (high school students are welcome but will need to be dropped off at RMMS for the bus). \nThe ACTiV8 Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding program gives kids the opportunity to progress skiing and snowboarding alongside their peers. The program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nDates: Monday\, Feb. 26\, Mar. 4\, 11\, 18 \nTime: 1:30- 5:30pm (The bus will pick up students from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle Schools) \nProgram Fee: $180 \nThe Program Fee includes transportation\, lift tickets\, and instruction. \nStudents will meet parent volunteers after school in a specified area where the students will get ready for class (get snow clothes and ski gear on). Students then board a bus for transport to the ski hill where they will have a 2½ hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to RMMS and TMS where parents will pick them up. \nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles and proper snow clothing. **Gear is available for students on scholarship tickets** \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Alpine Intro to Skiing program will give kids the opportunity to learn and progress their skiing or snowboarding skills alongside their peers. This program is for those who are brand new to skiing/snowboarding or are at a beginner/ beginner-intermediate level. This program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nThis is a program for North Summit students 1st-4th grade. The program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of their guardian and/or parent volunteers. Students will take YSA provided transportation to Woodward where they will have a two (2) hour lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is over\, students will be brought back to the school to be picked up. \nVolunteers needed! The entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably\, we need parent volunteers. A volunteer for Lead Chaperone will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Other volunteer positions include an additional bus chaperone. DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT! Skiers and snowboarders must be at a MINIMUM of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on blue runs or above). \nThis is an introductory course that takes place at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) for students who are intermediate skiers and looking to learn how to nordic jump. Students will be introduced to nordic jumping through instruction provided by Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS). Students will need downhill skis and boots and they will start learning skills and good form on the downhill section\, then progress to a small snow made jump\, and then continue to advance to larger jumps. \nProgram fee: $180 \nThe program fee includes UOP pass\, instruction and transportation \nDates: Monday\, Feb. 26\, Mar. 4\, 11\, 18 \nTime: 3:00 – 6:30pm (instruction from 4:00 – 6:00pm) \nGrades: 3rd-8th \nTransportation Provided  \nWasatch: Parents/Guardians will drop off students at the UVU Wasatch extension parking lot to meet the chaperones to go up to the UOP by bus at 3:00pm and pick up in the UVU parking lot at 6:30pm. \nNorth Summit and South Summit: TBD \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. DESCRIPTION:The YSA is excited to offer a four-week ninja course program at the Fit Stop for 1st-5th graders as part of the Get Out and Play Program. \nDates: Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30pm on February 26\, March 4\, 11\, 18. \nWe’re here to get kids off the couch and into shape having a blast at the indoor ninja course. Get crazy strong\, the ability to take on the obstacle course at their own pace\, make friends\, do challenge games and most importantly have a good time. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Fit Stop \nRequired Equipment \n\nWaiver\nWater Bottle\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\n\nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If your child qualifies for the free and reduced lunch program and/or your family earns less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration.
