SUMMARY:ACTIV8 Wasatch Intro to Keelboat Sailing Spring 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a two-week keelboat sailing program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Monday\, May 12 and 19\, 1:30-4:40pm (class is from 2:15-4:15pm) \nCome sail this spring with Park City Sailing for 2 keelboat sailing lessons at the Jordanelle Reservoir! Open to new and returning students. Instructors will review sailing basics and expand sailing skills for returning students. This is also a great opportunity for any new or experienced sailors interested in regional sailing team opportunities. \nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. Bus will pick up students immediately after school at Timpanogos and then pick up at Rocky Mountain before heading to Jordanelle. \nBus Chaperone: To run this program with transportation we need a parent bus chaperone to meet the students at the school and ride the bus to and from Jordanelle. To volunteer\, purchase your child the chaperone student ticket. Please contact Amanda at amanda@ysausa.org or 801-400-5044 if you have any questions. \nScholarship Availability:  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If your child qualifies for the free and reduced lunch program and/or your family earns less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you do not qualify for free and reduced lunch but earn less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you will qualify for a partial scholarship. Please complete the Partial Scholarship Application linked here. The information you choose to share with us is confidential and will be used only for purposes of determining your eligibility for a partial scholarship. You may be asked to provide documentation (i.e.\, paystubs\, tax forms\, or W-2s) to confirm your income and/or other financial information.
