DESCRIPTION:Weilenmann Program \nIMPORTANT! Skiers must be at a minimum of an intermediate level to participate in this program (i.e.\, must be able to parallel ski on Blue runs or above). Snowboarders must be able to link turns on intermediate runs. \nIntroduction to terrain parks including park etiquette\, transitions and small features; more advanced students learn tricks on rails\, jumps and in the halfpipe following safe progressions.  All students learn from our professional Woodward coaches and use our innovative terrain parks. \nDates: Thursdays Jan 9\, 16\, 23\, 30\, Feb 6; 1:30-2:45 pm \nTransportation will not be provided. \nRegistration Deadline: Be sure to register early as registration will close on Nov. 30th. \nIMPORTANT NOTES – We will ski regardless of the weather\, and no refunds will be available for bad weather. \nScholarships: \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. SUMMARY:GO&P Ice Skating November 2024
DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of skating\, falling and how to get up. Kids will be divided up into groups and rotate through different stations that will teach specific skill sets\, play games and allow for “free skate” time.  Each of the following weeks will  focus on a specific type of skating\, including figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities). \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that that this program also focuses on “Fun On Ice” to get the kids out on the ice skating and having a good time with their friends. This program is not intended to be a supplement to strict club training. \nDates: Fridays Nov 22 Dec 6 & 13\, 20 \nTimes: 1:30pm – 2:45pm (Time on ice\, does not include transportation to and from school). \nLocation: Park City Ice Arena \nTransportation is provided. Students from Silver Summit Academy and Telos Classical Academy may ride the bus from Trailside Elementary School. Students from Park City Day School may ride the bus from Jeremy Ranch Elementary School. \nWe are looking for a Program Coordinator for each of the schools. Volunteers who are the coordinator for all 4 weeks of the program will receive a significant discount on the program fees for 1 child registered in the program. DESCRIPTION:Join the Summit Dance Project (SDP) for this 4 week session of jazz and hip hop dance. This is an introductory class and is for beginning students\, grades 1st – 5th\, who have little\, or no dance experience.  Under the guidance of SDP Company dancers\, students will learn basic techniques in these fun and energetic dance styles\, and use them to create combinations that they will perform on the last day of class. \nDates: Fridays October 11\, 25\, Nov 8\, 15 \nTime: 1:15 – 3:00pm \nLocation: Summit Dance Project Studios \nTransportation is now provided for this program from Trailside and McPolin. \nCost: \n\nScholarship ticket $20\nStandard ticket $85\n\nNo refunds will be given once registration closes\, except under extenuating circumstances. \nPartial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. DESCRIPTION:Mountain Biking for Ecker Hill/Silver Summit and Homeschoolers \nDates: September 13\, 20\, 27\, Oct 4 \n\nWe have teamed up with Basin Recreation to offer mountain biking programs for Beginner to Intermediate Riders. Every  rider will learn safety\, trail etiquette\, ascending\, descending\, obstacles and some tips on how to get to the top. DESCRIPTION:INDOOR Multisport Experience all the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility has to offer. Choose between Acro and wheeled sports for a fun and exciting experience. Acro: trampolines\, parkour\, tumbling Wheeled: skateboarding\, scooter\, and BMX riding. Students will rotate through these sports with professional Woodward coaches to allow for progression. Students will receive structured coaching and free time to practice their new skills; all abilities are welcome. \nTransportation is provided.
