DESCRIPTION:This is an Ecker Hill\, Treasure Mountain\, Park City High School\, South Summit\, Silver Summit Academy\, Park City Day School\, Telos Classical Academy and Home School program. \nCross country skiing is a great way to build fitness and enjoy being outdoors with friends\, and the ACTiV8 – Cross Country Skiing program is specifically designed to build ski skills and confidence in a fun environment! The sessions are intended for students who want to learn the fundamentals of cross country skiing through games\, drills\, and skiing with peers. \n**Transportation is not provided for this program – if this becomes a hardship\, please reach out to heather@ysausa.org. If there are enough people wanting transportation we may be able to provide it with an extra cost.** \nDates: January 6th\, 13th\, 20th & 27th \nTimes: 3:15pm – 5:00pm \nLocation: White Pine Nordic Center located at the Park City Golf Course 1541 Thaynes Canyon Drive\, Park City\, UT 84060 \nDrop-off/Pick-up: Please arrive at 3:00pm to allow students time to get their equipment and suit up. Return to the Nordic Center by 4:45PM so you are available to pick your student(s) up when lessons end at 5:00PM. \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $100\,000 annually. SUMMARY:GO&P Fall Ice Skating\, Session 1 (Fall 2022)
DESCRIPTION:Whether your child is skating for the first time\, or has skated multiple times\, this is a great introductory program to many different aspects of skating. The first week will focus on the basic concepts of being on skates with different stations teaching specific skill sets\, playing games and allowing for “free skate” time.  The remaining weeks will include a focus on figure skating\, hockey and speed skating (or other fun activities)\, each being spotlighted 1 of the 3 weeks. \nThere will always be something different to challenge the kids\, regardless of ability (with the exception of the highly skilled skater.) Keep in mind that the program is also focusing on “Fun On Ice” to get kids out there\, skating and having a good time with their friends. This program is not intended to be a supplement to strict club training. \nDates: November 18th & December 2nd\, 9th & 16th. \n**There will not be class November 25th because of Thanksgiving break** \nTimes: 1:30pm – 3:00pm \nLocation: Park City Ice Arena \nTransportation is provided\, and we are looking for a Program Coordinator for each school. SUMMARY:GO&P Park City Beginning Mountain Biking for Grades 3-5
DESCRIPTION:The YSA has teamed up with Young Riders to offer mountain biking for 3rd-5th graders as part of the Get Out and Play Program. \nDates: September 9th\, 16th\, 23rd and 30th \nTimes: 1:15 – 3:15pm \nLocation: Quinn’s Junction\, Park City \nThis program is for participants who are beginners on trails\, and not for beginners on bikes\, as students should already know how to ride a bike and may have ridden some trails. \nThis 4-week program covers beginner single track trails\, climbing\, descending\, obstacles and safety on the trails of Round Valley. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at Quinn’s Junction – park in the lot on Gillmor Way at Quinn’s Junction\, Park City. This program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nRiders will need the following: \n\nBike\nHelmet (required\, your child will not be allowed to ride without a helmet)\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\nProtective eye wear (sunglasses are best)\nCycling gloves – recommended\n\nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs.
