DESCRIPTION:This is a program for Wasatch students 1st-5th graders and is for those who have never skied/snowboarded to beginners. If you did this program last year\, please consider signing up for the GOAP Wasatch Woodward Program. \nThe Get Out & Play Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding programs give kids the opportunity to begin skiing and snowboarding alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program takes place at Park City Mountain Ski Resort. \nThe program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of parent volunteers. Students then board a bus for transport to the ski hill where they will have a two (2) hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. \nDates: Mondays Jan. 12\, 26\, Feb 2\, 9; (no class on Jan. 19) \nTime: 3:00-6:30pm \nProgram Fee:  $185 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee. \nTransportation is provided: \nWasatch- Parents/guardians will drop off their children 3:00pm at the South Field Park parking lot on 100 S in Heber with their gear and in their snow clothes. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to the South Field parking lot where parents can pick them up around 6:30. \nVolunteers Needed! To make this program happen affordably\, we need parent volunteers for a School Coordinator position and as bus chaperones. Volunteers for School Coordinator will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please select the School Coordinator ticket. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer form and background check. The link for the background check will be sent after the form is filled out. South Summit bus chaperone positions will only be needed if the coordinator tickets are not sold. Wasatch bus chaperone positions can be viewed HERE. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week indoor climbing program at the Fit Stop for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 program\, sponsored by Kodiak. \nDates: Monday January 12\, 26\, February 2\, 9  from 2:30-3:30 \nLocation: Fit Stop \nThe FitStop youth ACTIV8 program is a wonderful program where students will get to experience the Crag Climbing Wall. Students will learn the basics of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. Along with climbing\, they will learn how to tie into harnesses and climb on rope\, climbing technique\, equipment\, safety\, problem solving\, trust\, teamwork\, strength and endurance\, along with so much more. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Fit Stop \nRequired Equipment \n\nWaiver\nWater Bottle\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\n\nRegistration Closes Monday\, January 5th. \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Transportation from Daniels Canyon\, Old Mill and Midway elementary schools to Soldier Hollow and back is included.  \nThe Soldier Hollow Kickers and Gliders program is for youth ages 6-11 new to skiing or who are looking to improve their skills. Kickers and Gliders participants will learn the basics of cross-country skiing through exploring the trails\, playing games\, and doing drills on snow. This program is designed to help youth stay active in the outdoors and instill a love for the sport. All equipment is provided to participants. Registration covers equipment to ski\, trail passes\, and coaching. SUMMARY:ACTIV8 Wasatch Indoor Climbing at the Fit Stop - Nov 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week indoor climbing program at the Fit Stop for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 program\, sponsored by Kodiak. \nDates: Monday November 24\, December 1\, 8\, 15  from 2:30-3:30 \nLocation: Fit Stop \nThe FitStop youth ACTIV8 program is a wonderful program where students will get to experience the Crag Climbing Wall. Students will learn the basics of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. Along with climbing\, they will learn how to tie into harnesses and climb on rope\, climbing technique\, equipment\, safety\, problem solving\, trust\, teamwork\, strength and endurance\, along with so much more. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Fit Stop \nRequired Equipment \n\nWaiver\nWater Bottle\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\n\nRegistration Closes Monday\, November 17th. \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. In this painting class\, we’ll explore the fascinating history of pet portraiture—starting with some of the earliest depictions of domesticated animals. \nUsing history as our backdrop\, you’ll learn to paint your own pet portraits inspired by different historical styles and artistic traditions. SUMMARY:GO&P Wasatch Woodward Indoor Multi Sport - Fall 2025
DESCRIPTION:Registration closes on Sunday\, October 19th \nExperience the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility including trampolines\, parkour\, skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding. All abilities welcome. Students will choose Wheeled Sports (skateboarding and scooters) or Parkour/Acro (parkour\, acrobatics\, trampolines) as their focus. \nTransportation is provided from Old Mill and JR Smith elementary schools. \nDates: Monday\, Oct. 27\, Nov. 3\, 10\, 17 \nTime: 2:30- 5:30pm \nAges: 1st-5th grade (we cannot accommodate kindergarteners) \nProgram Fee:  $185 (standard)\, $50 (scholarship)\, $50 (bus coordinators) \nThe Program Fee includes transportation and instruction. \nStudents will meet the volunteers after school in a specified area. Students then board a bus for transport to Woodward Park City where they will have a lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to JR Smith and Old Mill elementary schools where parents/guardians will pick them up. \nVolunteers: The entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably we need parent volunteers. We need one volunteer from each school to be the chaperone to commit to be a bus chaperone all 4 weeks. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week basketball program with the Jump Stop Academy for 1st-5th graders as part of the Get Out & Play Program. \nDates: Mondays from 2:30 to 3:30pm on Oct. 27\, Nov. 3\, 10\, 17 \nLocation: Heber Valley Elementary School \nAll-Star Madness is for players who want to work on their skills but play a lot of fun games as well. Each class is one hour long. Players will work on different skills each week and then have an All-Star competition or game that works on those specific skills.Ideal Baller: Players looking for a mix of drills and fun games as opposed to all drills. \nTransportation: No transportation provided. \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week indoor climbing program at the Fit Stop for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 program\, sponsored by Kodiak. \nDates: Monday October 27\, November 3\, 10\, 17  from 2:30-3:30 \nLocation: Fit Stop \nThe FitStop youth ACTIV8 program is a wonderful program where students will get to experience the Crag Climbing Wall. Students will learn the basics of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. Along with climbing\, they will learn how to tie into harnesses and climb on rope\, climbing technique\, equipment\, safety\, problem solving\, trust\, teamwork\, strength and endurance\, along with so much more. \nTransportation is not provided. In this painting class\, we’ll explore the fascinating history of pet portraiture—starting with some of the earliest depictions of domesticated animals. \nUsing history as our backdrop\, you’ll learn to paint your own pet portraits inspired by different historical styles and artistic traditions.
