DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding program gives 2nd-6th graders (must be 8 to participate) the chance to advance their skiing or snowboarding skills with peers through our partnership with Sundance. These lessons build on existing skills and introduce new techniques. Participants should already be able to turn and stop independently and are ready to gain more control\, consistency\, and confidence on the mountain. Beginners should register for the GO&P Wasatch Learn to Ski/Snowboard 2026 program. \nProgram Details \n\nDates: Mondays\, Feb 9th\, 23rd March 2nd & 9th\nTime: 3:45-7:00pm (Class runs from 4:30 – 6:30 pm)\nAge: 2nd-6th grades (must be 8 years old)\nVenue: Sundance Mountain Resort\nSkill Level: Lessons are designed for skiers and snowboarders already able to turn and stop independently. Levels 2-5.\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from Sundance. Pick-up and drop-off occurs at South Field Park parking lot on 100 S in Heber.\nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing.\nProgram Cost:\n\n$185 standard\n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals)\n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket\, sponsored by Kodiak)\nThe fee includes lift tickets\, instruction\, and transportation. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee\, except for scholarship tickets.\n\n\n\nRegistration Deadline: Registration will close on November 30th at 11:30pm. \nParent Support and Volunteer Opportunities: This program relies on parent volunteers! We need help to keep the program affordable\, and volunteering is a great way to participate. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer form and background check. The link for the background check will be sent after the form is filled out. \n\nProgram Lead: Chaperone the full program and help with email communication with parents. A background check is required and your ticket will be fully refunded after chaperoning all 4 weeks. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a four-week introduction to boxing program with Rise Boxing for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays\, Jan. 26\, Feb. 2\, 9 \nTime: 1:30-2:30pm \nLocation: Rocky Mountain Middle School \nStudents will learn the fundamentals of boxing in a supportive and encouraging environment through 3 weeks of 1 hour sessions. The session will cover footwork\, punching technique\, combinations\, rules of boxing and application of the sport. Students will develop skills in a non-contact environment that will give them an understanding of the sweet science. Students will get to see the discipline and skill required for boxing in a safe and controlled environment and will develop a base level of skill over the course of the session. \nScholarship Availability:  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program takes place at Park City Mountain Ski Resort. \nThe program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of parent volunteers. Students then board a bus for transport to the ski hill where they will have a two (2) hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. \nDates: Mondays Jan. 12\, 26\, Feb 2\, 9; (no class on Jan. 19) \nTime: 3:00-6:30pm \nProgram Fee:  $185 \nThe program fee includes transportation\, lift ticket\, and instruction. Kickers and Gliders participants will learn the basics of cross-country skiing through exploring the trails\, playing games\, and doing drills on snow. This program is designed to help youth stay active in the outdoors and instill a love for the sport. All equipment is provided to participants. Registration covers equipment to ski\, trail passes\, and coaching. Kickers and Gliders participants will learn the basics of cross-country skiing through exploring the trails\, playing games\, and doing drills on snow. This program is designed to help youth stay active in the outdoors and instill a love for the sport. All equipment is provided to participants. Registration covers equipment to ski\, trail passes\, and coaching. DESCRIPTION:The YSA is excited to offer a four-week weight lifting program at the Fit Stop for 6th-8th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays November 24\, December 1\, 8\, 15 from 2:30-3:30. \nOur goal is to create a safe and positive community to cross train\, for all abilities. We focus on building a good foundation in weight training with an emphasis on form. Not only do we have fun while building self esteem but also stamina. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Fit Stop \nRequired Equipment \n\nWaiver\nWater Bottle\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\n\nRegistration Closes Monday\, November 17\, 2025 \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week indoor climbing program at the Fit Stop for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 program\, sponsored by Kodiak. \nDates: Monday November 24\, December 1\, 8\, 15  from 2:30-3:30 \nLocation: Fit Stop \nThe FitStop youth ACTIV8 program is a wonderful program where students will get to experience the Crag Climbing Wall. Students will learn the basics of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. Along with climbing\, they will learn how to tie into harnesses and climb on rope\, climbing technique\, equipment\, safety\, problem solving\, trust\, teamwork\, strength and endurance\, along with so much more. \nTransportation is not provided. In this painting class\, we’ll explore the fascinating history of pet portraiture—starting with some of the earliest depictions of domesticated animals. \nUsing history as our backdrop\, you’ll learn to paint your own pet portraits inspired by different historical styles and artistic traditions. We’ll explore various approaches to composition\, color\, and technique—while discussing how pets have been represented through time. \nYou do not need to own a pet to enjoy this course—just a love of animals\, history\, and the creative process. \nScholarship Availability:  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs.
