DESCRIPTION:Come explore the world of dog sledding and animal rescue at Rancho Luna Lobos! Dana and Fernando will lead students through team building activities and dryland dog sled rides while teaching them about dog wellness\, feeding and general care. These activities are designed to inspire students to chase their own dreams and give them tools to overcome obstacles. \nDates: Mondays. Oct. 20\, 27\, Nov. 3\, 10 from 1:30-5pm (class from 2:30-4:30) \nLocation: Rancho Luna Lobos (4733 W. Browns Canyon Rd.)\, transportation will be provided from Rocky Mountain and Timpanogos Middle Schools \n*Students will be around a lot of dogs\, and they are quite loud\, so please make sure your child is comfortable in this environment. \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. DESCRIPTION:Registration closes on Friday\, August 29th \nThe Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week mountain biking program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nThis program is for participants who are beginners on trails\, and not for beginners on bikes as students should already know how to ride a bike and may have ridden some trails. We have teamed up with Young Riders who will be providing the coaching staff. The program covers beginner single track trails\, climbing\, descending\, obstacles and safety on the trails. \nDates: Mondays. Sept. 8\, 15\, 22\, 29 \nTime: 2:30 to 4:30pm \nLocation: Jordanelle Ridge Trail System (often referred to as Coyote) at UVU\, 3111 College Way\, Heber City \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Jordanelle Ridge Trail System at UVU. DESCRIPTION:Registration closes Monday\, April 21st. \nThe Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week mountain biking program for middle and high school students as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays from 2:30 to 4:30pm on Apr. 28\, May 5\, 12\, 19 \nLocation: Jordanelle Ridge Trail System (often referred to as Coyote) at UVU\, 3111 College Way\, Heber City \nThis program is for participants who are beginners on trails\, and not for beginners on bikes as students should already know how to ride a bike and may have ridden some trails. We have teamed up with Young Riders who will be providing the coaching staff. \nThe program covers beginner single track trails\, climbing\, descending\, obstacles and safety on the trails. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at the Jordanelle Ridge Trail System at UVU. DESCRIPTION:When an unexpected emergency happens\, make sure you know what to do. Join us for an opportunity to gain some basic skills in first aid care and get CPR/AED certified. This course and instructors meet the National Safety Standards. We are excited to work with the Wils Foundation to offer this program. \nDates: Monday April 7th and 21st \nTime: 1:30pm-3:30pm \nLocation: Timpanogos Middle School \nThis class is for students in 6th-12th grade. It is a two day program and the student must attend both days to be certified. Certification lasts for 2 years. A first aid kit will be provided for each student who completes the program. \nTransportation is provided for Rocky Mountain Middle School students. \nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If your child qualifies for the free and reduced lunch program and/or your family earns less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you do not qualify for free and reduced lunch but earn less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. DESCRIPTION:The YSA is excited to offer a four-week indoor climbing program at the Fit Stop for 1st-5th graders as part of the Get Out and Play Program (GO&P)\, sponsored by Kodiak. \nDates: Mondays March 24\, April 7\, 14\, 21 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm \nLocation: Fit Stop \nThe FitStop youth GO&P program is a wonderful program where kids will get to experience the Crag Climbing Wall. Students will learn the basics of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. Along with climbing\, they will learn how to tie into harnesses and climb on rope\, climbing technique\, equipment\, safety\, problem solving\, trust\, teamwork\, strength and endurance\, along with so much more. \nTransportation is not provided. Come find out in this fun and interactive improv-based class that will keep participants on their toes as they play acting games and hone their quick\, creative skills.
