DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a four-week introduction to biathlon program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Monday\, October 2\, 9\, 30\, and November 6 from 1:30-3:30pm \nThe Soldier Hollow biathlon experience provides a taste of biathlon competition on the 2002 Olympic Biathlon Range in Midway\, Utah. During the 4-week session\, participants will learn firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship using German air-rifles. The second half of the course will introduce shooting with a heart rate and will culminate with a fun mini competition. \nYou must fill out this Soldier Hollow waiver BEFORE the first day of the program. Your child will not be able to participate until it is completed. This program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. Bus will pick up students immediately after school at Timpanogos and then pick up at Rocky Mountain before heading to Jordanelle. \nBus Chaperone: To run this program with transportation we need a parent bus chaperone to meet the students at the school and ride the bus to and from Soldier Hollow. The golf skills class will be held outdoors at Soldier Hollow Golf Course. The staff at The Golf Lodge is ready to bring your Junior Golfer to the next level. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn from the best! These clinics are perfect for beginner or advanced golfers. New skills will be taught and current skills will be built upon. Don’t miss your chance to learn and develop your golfing skills! \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at Soldier Hollow Golf Course. SUMMARY:ACTIV8 Wasatch Mountain Biking at Dutch Hollow Fall 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a four-week mountain biking program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Mondays from 2:30 to 4:30pm on September 11\, 18\, 25 and October 2 \nThis program is for participants who are beginners on trails\, and not for beginners on bikes as students should already know how to ride a bike and may have ridden some trails. We have teamed up with Young Riders who will be providing the coaching staff. \nThe program covers beginner single track trails\, climbing\, descending\, obstacles and safety on the trails. \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at Dutch Hollow Trailhead. Dutch Hollow is a fee area. If you stay after dropping off your child you will need to pay the parking fee. This program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nRequired Equipment \n\nBike\nHelmet (required\, your child will not be allowed to ride without a helmet)\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\nProtective eye wear (sunglasses are best)\nCycling gloves\n\nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs.
