SUMMARY:GOAP Wasatch - Woodward Indoor Multi-Sport (May 2023)
DESCRIPTION:Experience the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility including trampolines\, parkour\, skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding. All abilities welcome. Students will choose wheeled sports (skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding) or parkour/acrobatics as their focus. \nTransportation is provided from Midway\, Heber Valley and JR Smith elementary schools. \nDates: Monday\, May 1\, 8\, 15\, and 22 \nTime: 2:30- 5:30pm \nAges: 1st-5th grade (we cannot accomodate kindergarteners) \nProgram Fee:  $180 (standard)\, $50 (scholarship)\, $50 (bus coordinators) \nThe Program Fee includes transportation and instruction. \nStudents will meet parent/gaurdian volunteers after school in a specified area. Students then board a bus for transport to Woodward where they will have a lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to JR Smith\, Heber Valley and Midway elementary schools where parents/gaurdians will pick them up. \nThe entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably we need parent volunteers. We need one volunteer from each school to be the Lead School Bus Coordinator.  If you can commit to all 4 weeks you can select the discounted Bus Coordinator ticket. Other volunteer positions include bus chaperones. Contact Amanda at 801-400-5044 or amanda@ysausa.org to be added to the waitlist. \nExperience all the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility including trampolines\, parkour\, skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding. Students rotate through the sports with professional Woodward coaches. All abilities welcome. \nTransportation is provided. \nDates: Monday\, February 27\, March 6\, 20\, and 27 \nTime: 2:30- 5:30pm (The bus will pick up students from Daniels Canyon Elementary School and Old Mill Elementary School) \nProgram Fee:  $180 \nThe Program Fee includes transportation and instruction. \nStudents will meet parent/gaurdian volunteers after school in a specified area. Students then board a bus for transport to Woodward where they will have a lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to Old Mill and Daniels Canyon elementary schools where parents/gaurdians will pick them up. \nThe entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably we need parent volunteers. Volunteers for Lead School Coordinator will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Other volunteer positions include Bus Chaperones. Children will rotate weekly between activities. \nMMA (Martial Arts Self Defense) – The Progressive Defense Tactics instructional system is more than just physical self defense. It integrates the mind-body-spirit approach to personal protection. This approach to Personal protection gives participants an edge over others. Empowering youth and teenagers through defense classes will help them develop effective defensive strategies and gain confidence. \nThe Crag Climbing Wall – Kids will learn the basis of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. DESCRIPTION:  \nhttps://ysausa.org/get-out-play-and-activ8-partial-scholarship-application/Dates: Monday\, November 28\, December 5\, 12\, 19 from 3:30-4:30pm at the FitStop \nThe FitStop Youth ACTiV8 program is a wonderful program where kids will get to experience and learn a variety of activities. These activities will include mixed martial arts\, indoor climbing\, and indoor cycling. Children will rotate weekly between activities. \nMMA (Martial Arts Self Defense) – The Progressive Defense Tactics instructional system is more than just physical self defense. It integrates the mind-body-spirit approach to personal protection. This approach to Personal protection gives participants an edge over others. Empowering youth and teenagers through defense classes will help them develop effective defensive strategies and gain confidence. \nThe Crag Climbing Wall – Kids will learn the basis of climbing techniques as well as learning how to safely climb in an indoor environment. Along with climbing\, they will learn how to tie into harnesses and climb on rope\, climbing technique\, equipment\, safety\, problem solving\, trust\, teamwork\, strength and endurance\, along with so much more. \nHIIT- high-intensity interval training of 3 (15min) rounds of varying exercises with a 5min break in between rounds. We will work on strengthing our body and mind\, as well as learn how to encouraging ourselves and others keep working and achieving even when things seem hard.
