SUMMARY:ACTiV8- South Summit Beginner Mountain Biking (Spring 2026) sponsored by Kodiak
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to partner with Young Riders and Dave and Allison Scott from SSMBT to offer a four week mountain biking program for beginner to intermediate riders grades 5th-12th. Riders will learn safety\, trail etiquette\, ascending\, descending\, obstacles and some tips on how to get to the top. This program will happen rain (without lightning) or shine. \nThe location of this program will be South Summit Middle School for the first session for skills and drills\, and we will use the High Star trails unless they are unavailable. The location of the rides will be determined as we get closer to the start of the program\, and we see what kind of condition the trails are in.  \nTransportation is not provided. If we are able to use the High Star trails\, participants will ride from South Summit Middle School. \nIf you do not own a bike or helmet but would like to participate in this program\, please contact Jana Johnson. \nDates: Fridays April 24\, May 1\, 8\, 15; 1:30-3:30pm (Times may need to be adjusted slightly depending on location of the ride.) \n\nRequired equipment\n\n\nBike\nHelmet (mandatory; your child will not be allowed to ride without one)\nShoes and Socks (no open-toe sandals)\nWater bottle or camelbak\nAthletic clothing\nProtective eye wear (sunglasses are best)\nCycling gloves (recommended)\n\n\n\nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $120\,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship\, please complete the application linked here to help us understand your financial challenges.

SUMMARY:GO&P South/North Summit Mountain Biking for Grades 3-4 sponsored by Kodiak
DESCRIPTION:The YSA has teamed up with Young Riders to offer mountain biking for 3rd-4th graders as part of the Get Out and Play Program. This 4-week program covers beginner single track trails\, climbing\, descending\, obstacles and safety on the trails of Round Valley. This program is for participants who are getting comfortable on double check and working towards single track trails. Students should already know how to ride a bike and have ridden double track trails. \nDates: May 1\, 8\, 15\, 29 \nTimes: 3:45-5:45 pm \nLocation: Quinn’s Junction\, Park City \nTransportation is not provided. Parents will need to drop off and pick up at Quinn’s Junction – park in the lot on Gillmor Way at Quinn’s Junction\, Park City. This program will happen rain or shine unless there is lightening\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nRiders will need the following: \n\nBike\nHelmet (required\, your child will not be allowed to ride without a helmet)\nShoes and socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\nProtective eye wear (sunglasses are best)\nCycling gloves – recommended\n\nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If you earn less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you earn more than $50\,000 annually but less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship.
