The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts\, and utilizes their talented ski instructors. This program is for homeschool\, Wasatch Learning Academy\, and Thriving Day Academy students.  \nProgram Details \n\nDates: Thursdays\, Jan 8\, 15\, 22\, 29\, Feb 5\nTime: 12:15 pm – 4:30 pm (Class runs from 1:15 pm – 4:00 pm)\nAge: 1st-5th grades\nVenue: Canyons Village at Park City Mountain Resort\nSkill Level: Lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Advanced skiers/snowboarders may prefer the UOP or Woodward programs.\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from the Canyons side of Park City Mountain Resort. Pick-up and drop-off occurs at South Field Park parking lot on 100 S in Heber.\nRequired Equipment/Gear: skis/snowboard and boots\, helmet\, googles\, water-proof gloves/mittens and proper snow clothing.\nProgram Cost:\n\n$215 with a season pass\n$240 without a season pass\n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch\, includes ski/snowboard rentals)\n$150 sibling (the sibling discount is available only with the purchase of a standard ticket\, sponsored by Kodiak)\nThe fee includes lift tickets (for participants without a season pass)\, instruction\, and transportation. Equipment is not provided or covered under the program fee\, except for scholarship tickets.\n\n\n\nEquipment: Equipment is not provided unless on full scholarship. \nRegistration Deadline: Registration will close on November 30th at 11:30pm. \nParent Support and Volunteer Opportunities: This program relies on parent volunteers! We need help to keep the program affordable\, and volunteering is a great way to participate. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer form and background check. The link for the background check will be sent after the form is filled out. \n\nProgram Lead: Chaperone the full program and help with email communication with parents. A background check is required and your ticket will be fully refunded after chaperoning all 5 weeks.\nProgram Chaperones: Help the program lead\, ride the bus and earn a half-day ski pass to use while students are in class. This program is geared towards Homeschool\, Wasatch Learning Academy\, and Thriving Day Academy students. \nProgram Details: \n\nDates: Thursdays\, January 9\, 16\, 23\, 30\, and February 6\nTime: 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm (Class runs from 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm)\nTransportation: Bus transportation is provided to and from the Canyons side of Park City Mountain Resort. Pick-up and drop-off occur at Southfield Park in Heber\, near the pickleball courts and skate park.\nVenue: Canyons Village at Park City Mountain Resort\nProgram Fee:\n\n$210 with a season pass\n$235 without a season pass\n$50 scholarship (for students on free and reduced lunch)\n$150 sibling\nThe fee includes lift tickets (for participants without a season pass)\, instruction\, and transportation.\n\n\n\nScholarships Available: \n\nRegular Scholarships are available for families who qualify for free and reduced lunch or with annual incomes below $50\,000. DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Alpine Ski and Snowboard program gives kids the opportunity to begin or continue to learn skiing or snowboarding skills alongside their peers. The program is based on the unique partnerships we have built with our local resorts\, and utilizes their talented ski instructors. \nDates: Jan 7\, Jan 14\, Jan 21\, Jan 28\, and Feb 4 \nVenue: Canyons Village \nProgram Fee: $210 w/season pass; $235 w/o season pass. The Program Fee includes lift tickets (if your child does not have a season pass) and instruction. \nScholarships.  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Just select a Scholarship ticket below to complete the registration process for your child.\nPartial Scholarships are now also available for families earning between $50\,000 and $100\,000 annually. To apply for a Partial Scholarship\, please complete the application linked hereto help us understand your financial challenges.\n\nRegistration Deadlines: Be sure to register early as prices will increase on November 23\, 2021 and registration will close on November 30\, 2021 at 11:59pm. \nSkier/Snowboarder Skill Levels:  Lessons are designed for skiers/snowboarders at a beginner to low intermediate level. More advanced skiers/snowboarders may want to instead sign up for the UOP and/or Woodward programs\, or the Cross Country Skiing program. \nNational Ability Center (NAC) Assistance: If your child will need assistance from the NAC\, please contact Andrew Ball at andrewb@discovernac.org once you’ve completed registration. \nThe entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably we need parent volunteers. Volunteers for School Coordinator will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Other volunteer positions include Chaperones (who receive a half day ski pass for the day they volunteer)\, as well as Gear-up Helpers at the schools.
