SUMMARY:One-Day Wheels and Parkour Class at Daniels Canyon Elementary
DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a one-day Woodward sports program for 1st-5th graders as part of the Get Out and Play Program (GO&P) at Daniels Canyon Elementary. \nDates: Tuesday\, September 22nd from 3:30 to 4:30pm \nLocation: Daniels Canyon Elementary playground \nThis special one-day session is designed to give kids the opportunity to “taste” the wheel sports and parkour programs available at Woodward (skateboards/scooters). \nStudents will need a helmet if they have one and if they have knee/elbow pads. Woodward will bring scooters and skateboards to borrow but students are welcome to bring their own. \nRegistration closes on Thursday\, September 17 \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a four-week kids MMA program with Impact Martial Arts for 1st-5th graders as part of the Get Out & Play Program. \nDates: Mondays\, Oct 26\, Nov 2\, 9\, 16 \nLocation: Daniels Canyon School \nKids MMA With Impact Martial Arts: Off of screens and on the mats with focus! Impact Martial Arts is where children learn effective mixed martial arts technique\, with all of the safety\, respect\, character development\, and fun of traditional martial arts! In this program\, we will be taking the best foundational basics from different disciplines (like Karate\, American and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu\, Taekwondo\, Wrestling\, Boxing and Muay Thai) and blending them together for the ULTIMATE bully-proof confidence\, time tested self-defense\, and safe sport. At Impact Martial Arts\, we strive to make a forever impact in the lives of your children and the communities they will go on to shape! \nChaperone: We are looking for one adult volunteer to chaperone for all 4 weeks of the program. Duties include\, assist with taking role and ensure all kids are accounted for during the session. DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance is excited to offer a three-week basketball program with the Jump Stop Academy for 1st-5th graders as part of the Get Out & Play Program (GO&P). \nDates: Mondays from 2:30 to 3:30pm on Nov 30\, Dec 7\, 14 \nLocation: Daniels Canyon Elementary School \nAll-Star Madness is for players who want to work on their skills but play a lot of fun games as well. Each class is one hour long. Players will work on different skills each week and then have an All-Star competition or game that works on those specific skills.Ideal Baller: Players looking for a mix of drills and fun games as opposed to all drills. \nTransportation: No transportation provided \nChaperone: We are looking for one adult volunteer to chaperone for all 3 weeks of the program. Duties include\, assist with taking role and ensure all kids are accounted for during the session.
