DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a one-day Woodward sports program for 1st-5th graders as part of the Get Out and Play Program (GO&P) at Midway Elementary. \nDate: Tuesday\, October 7\, from 3:30 to 4:30pm \nLocation: Midway Elementary playground \nThis special one-day session is designed to give kids the opportunity to “taste” the wheel sports and parkour programs available at Woodward (skateboards/scooters). \nStudents will need a helmet if they have one and if they have knee/elbow pads. Woodward will bring scooters and skateboards to borrow but students are welcome to bring their own. \nRegistration closes on Thursday\, October 2nd at 9am \nVolunteers: Our programs rely on parent volunteers to help chaperone each program. Chaperone tickets are available at a reduced cost. Chaperones will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Please purchase a chaperone ticket for your child at registration. The class will focus on building skills (forward roll\, handstand\, kartwheel\, handsprings) for beginners through advanced students (learning flips and combo tumbling). The class is taught by experienced coaches with 20+ years of experience in spotting and athlete development. Sports 4 Girls\, a multi-sport program that empowers kids ages\, 4-14\, through sports! Join us for the Monday fall session of our trademark Multi-Sport Class! Class runs from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Midway Elementary School and is open to all kids in elementary school. \nA great way to expose and introduce your child to team sports! Explore and learn a different sport every week. We may cover basketball\, soccer\, tennis\, softball\, lacrosse\, volleyball\, and more in a FUN\, nurturing and positive environment! DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a one-day Woodward sports program for 1st-5th graders as part of the Get Out and Play Program at Midway Elementary. \nDates: Monday\, September 11 from 2:30 to 3:30pm \nThis special one-day session is designed to give kids the opportunity to “taste” the wheel sport programs available at Woodward (skateboards/scooters). \nStudents will need a helmet if they have one and if they have knee/elbow pads. Woodward will bring scooters and skateboards to borrow but students are welcome to bring their own. \nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If your child qualifies for the free and reduced lunch program and/or your family earns less than $50\,000 annually\, please select a Scholarship ticket to complete your registration. If you do not qualify for free and reduced lunch but earn less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. The goals of the program are to have the children learn the points-of-performance of foundational movements that have universal application through a strength and conditioning workout performed at a high intensity level; Functional movements are actions that you perform in your day-to-day life\, like squatting\, pulling\, pushing etc. Many workouts feature variations of squats\, push-ups\, and weight lifting that last for predetermined amounts of time to help build muscle\, develop motor recruitment pathways\, and ensure safe and efficient movement now and into the future. \nNEW! Partial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs.
