Transportation from Daniels Canyon\, Old Mill and Midway elementary schools to Soldier Hollow and back is included.  \nThe Soldier Hollow Kickers and Gliders program is for youth ages 6-11 new to skiing or who are looking to improve their skills. Kickers and Gliders participants will learn the basics of cross-country skiing through exploring the trails\, playing games\, and doing drills on snow. This program is designed to help youth stay active in the outdoors and instill a love for the sport. All equipment is provided to participants. Registration covers equipment to ski\, trail passes\, and coaching. Participants will need to have warm weather clothing to stay warm during the Utah winter.  \nPlease fill out this waiver. Your child will not be able to participate until it is completed. \nDates: Thursdays\, January 8 and 15 \nTimes: 3:00pm – 6:00pm (students will be at Soldier Hollow from 4:00pm – 5:30pm) \nLocation: Soldier Hollow Nordic Center \nCost: $25 (standard)\, $5 (scholarship) \nTransportation: This program includes transportation from Daniels Canyon\, Old Mill and Midway elementary schools and back afterwards. \nThis program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nPartial Scholarship Availability.  We want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. During the 4-week session\, participants will learn firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship using German air-rifles. The second half of the course will introduce shooting with a heart rate and will culminate with a fun mini competition. \nYou must fill out this Soldier Hollow waiver BEFORE the first day of the program. Your child will not be able to participate until it is completed. This program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. Bus will pick up students immediately after school at Timpanogos and then pick up at Rocky Mountain before heading to Jordanelle. \nBus Chaperone: To run this program with transportation we need a parent bus chaperone to meet the students at the school and ride the bus to and from Soldier Hollow. SUMMARY:ACTIV8 Wasatch Introduction to Biathlon Fall 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) is excited to offer a four-week introduction to biathlon program for 6th-12th graders as part of the ACTIV8 Program. \nDates: Monday\, October 2\, 9\, 30\, and November 6 from 1:30-3:30pm \nThe Soldier Hollow biathlon experience provides a taste of biathlon competition on the 2002 Olympic Biathlon Range in Midway\, Utah. During the 4-week session\, participants will learn firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship using German air-rifles. The second half of the course will introduce shooting with a heart rate and will culminate with a fun mini competition. \nYou must fill out this Soldier Hollow waiver BEFORE the first day of the program. Your child will not be able to participate until it is completed. This program will happen rain or shine\, and there will be no refunds for bad weather. \nTransportation is provided from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle School. Bus will pick up students immediately after school at Timpanogos and then pick up at Rocky Mountain before heading to Jordanelle. \nBus Chaperone: To run this program with transportation we need a parent bus chaperone to meet the students at the school and ride the bus to and from Soldier Hollow. To volunteer\, purchase your child the chaperone student ticket. SUMMARY:ACTiV8 Tubing for Wasatch School District
DESCRIPTION:Please come join us at Soldier Hollow in January for tubing fun! Soldier Hollow Tubing offers the longest tubing lanes in Utah. The hill has lengthy 1\,200-foot sliding lanes with a magic carpet that takes  you up the hill for tubing day or night under the lights\, and a sound system keeps the airwaves full of enjoyable tune. \nThis activity will be offered on Monday January 10th\, 24th\, 31st and February 7. The session will run from 3:30 to 4:30.
