DESCRIPTION:Mountain Biking for Treasure/Silver Summit and Homeschoolers \nDates: April 26\, May 3\, 10\, 17 \nWe have teamed up with Basin Recreation to offer mountain biking programs for Beginner to Intermediate Riders. Every  rider will learn safety\, trail etiquette\, ascending\, descending\, obstacles and some tips on how to get to the top. This program leaves directly from the Ecker Hill school grounds and will happen rain or shine. \nIf you do not own a bike and would like to participate in this program please contact Heather Sims \nRequired equipment \n\nBike\nHelmet (compulsory your child will not be allowed to ride without one)\nShoes and Socks (no open-toe sandals)\nAthletic clothing\nProtective eye wear (sunglasses are best)\nCycling glove\n\nNew Partial Scholarship Available!\nWe want to provide the opportunity for as many kids as possible to participate in our programs. If you earn less than $120\,000 annually and the registration fee is a burden for your family\, you may qualify for a partial scholarship. Participate in the Junior Instructor Program\, sponsored by YSA and the Professional Ski Instructors of America – American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI).  \nLearn what it’s like to work as an instructor and earn a nationally-recognized certificate that can open the door to teaching at a local resort.  \nDates: Fridays Classroom Nov 4\, 11\, (at school 11:30-1:30) On Snow at Woodward  December 3rd & December 10  for two 6 hours training sessions. \nTaking Part In This Program:  \n\nMakes you a better skier or snowboarder \nConnects you with others who share your snowsports passion \nHelps you develop important career and life skills\, such as: Communication\, Dedication\, Discipline\, Independence\, Instruction\, Leadership\, Group management\, Professionalism\, Public speaking\nGives you a solid foundation of skills to help you work in the snowsports industry during and after high school. \n\nProgram Requirements \n\nParticipate in 4 hours of classroom learning including three online learning units. \nComplete a 12-hour training course on snow at a local resort.) Lift tickets will be provided for on snow sessions.\nShadow 6 hours of lessons at the resort’s ski and ride school.\nDemonstrate a minimum sliding ability in 2 areas:\n\nMust have the ability to maneuver safely in a learning area and around all surface lifts or up/down hills and trails.\nMust show the ability to safely ski or ride in a group on blue terrain.\n\n\nComplete the course portfolio and have it signed by a snowsports supervisor.\nWrite and submit a letter of intent that describes why you want to become a snowsports instructor. Students will have the option to apply for a seasonal position as a Junior Instructor at the host resort after completing this course.\n\nOption for employment with Woodward (subject to interview). \nOn snow passes and instruction sponsored by Woodward Park City and PSIA \n

DESCRIPTION:This 4 week program is taught by John Nealy\, a headshot\, fashion\, and lifestyle photographer in Park City. He has worked with numerous working actors\, fashion lines\, and marketing companies producing images in his own style. His techniques are meant to replicate the look of dramatic natural lighting from high key to moody low key. He will be teaching you how to capture quality images in your own style. No matter the gear\, it is all about how to apply the fundamentals of photography and editing to create engaging images on a commercial level.
