DESCRIPTION:Experience the sports offered inside Woodward’s world-class indoor facility including trampolines\, parkour\, skateboarding\, scooter and BMX riding. All abilities welcome. Students will choose wheeled sports (skateboarding and scooters) or parkour/acrobatics as their focus. \nTransportation is provided from Daniels Canyon\, Old Mill and JR Smith elementary schools. \nDates: Monday\, Feb. 24\, Mar. 3\, 10\, 17 \nTime: 2:30- 5:30pm \nAges: 1st-5th grade (we cannot accommodate kindergarteners) \nProgram Fee:  $180 (standard)\, $50 (scholarship)\, $50 (bus coordinators) \nThe Program Fee includes transportation and instruction. \nStudents will meet the volunteers after school in a specified area. Students then board a bus for transport to Woodward Park City where they will have a lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is completed\, students are transported back to JR Smith\, Old Mill and Daniels Canyon elementary schools where parents/guardians will pick them up. \nVolunteers: The entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably we need parent volunteers. We need one volunteer from each school to be the Lead School Bus Chaperone.  If you can commit to all 4 weeks you can select the discounted Bus Chaperone ticket for your child. DESCRIPTION:The Get Out & Play Intro/Progression to skiing or snowboarding program will give kids the opportunity to learn and progress their skiing or snowboarding skills alongside their peers. This program is for those who are brand new to skiing/snowboarding or at a beginner/ beginner-intermediate level. This program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nThis is a program for North Summit students 1st-4th grade. The program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of their guardian and/or parent volunteers. Students will take YSA provided transportation to Woodward where they will have a two (2) hour lesson with their instructor. Once the lesson is over\, students will be brought back to the school to be picked up. \nVolunteers needed! The entire program is parent supported and chaperoned\, so please do your best to assist! To make this program happen affordably\, we need parent volunteers. A volunteer for Lead Chaperone will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Other volunteer positions include an additional bus chaperone. The ACTiV8 Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding program gives kids the opportunity to learn and progress alongside their peers and will help refine current skills and introduce students to new skills. This is a program for North Summit and Wasatch middle schoolers. Students will meet parent volunteers after school in a specified area where the students will get ready for the session (get snow clothes and gear on). Students will then board a bus to Woodward where they will have a 2 hour ski or snowboard lesson with an instructor.  \nThis program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nDates: Thursdays\, Feb. 13\, 20\, 27 Mar. 6 \nProgram Time: 3:30-5:30 pm (at Woodward)\, 2:30-6:00 pm (with using transportation to and from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain middle schools) \nTransportation: \nWasatch– The bus will pick up students from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle Schools. This program is for those who have tried our Learn to ski/snowboard program and now want to progress those skills on the slopes at Woodward. This program will help to refine the skills your child has learned and introduce them to new skills. These lessons are designed for skiers/snowboarders who can already turn and stop on their own and are eager to be more controlled\, consistent\, and confident on the mountain. This is not a program for complete beginners. For a beginner program\, please register for the South Summit & Wasatch -Learn to Ski/Snowboard program at Park City Mountain. \nThe program begins immediately after school with students gearing up with the help of parent volunteers. Students will take YSA provided transportation to Woodward where they will have a 2 hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. Buses/Vans will arrive at the school at 3:00pm with arrival at Woodward around 3:45 and return to school around 6:30pm. \nWasatch- Parents/guardians will drop off their children at 3:00pm at the South Field Park parking lot on 100 S in Heber with their gear and in their snow clothes. Once the lesson is completed\, students are taken back to the South Field parking lot where parents can pick them up around 6:30 pm. \nVolunteers Needed! To make this program happen affordably\, we need parent volunteers for a School Coordinator position and as bus chaperones. DESCRIPTION:  \nImportant\, due to the terrain your child must be an intermediate level and capable of blue runs. \nFreestyle introduction for skiers and snowboarders in our terrain parks includes park etiquette\, transitions\, and small features; accessed from our moving carpet conveyor. Advanced freestyle students learn tricks on rails\, jumps and in the halfpipe following safe progressions and will move frequently between chair access zones and moving carpet conveyer access zone.  All students learn from our professional Woodward coaches and use our progressive terrain parks. \nDates: Jan 10\, 17\, 24\, 31 \nScholarships:  \n\nRegular scholarships are available for students with families earning less than $50\,000 annually. Students will choose wheeled sports (skateboarding and scooters) or parkour/acrobatics as their focus. \nTransportation is provided from Midway and Heber Valley elementary schools. There will be a program in the spring with transportation from Daniels Canyon\, Old Mill and JR Smith elementary schools. \nDates: Monday\, Oct. 28\, Nov. 4\, 11\, 18 \nTime: 2:30- 5:30pm \nAges: 1st-5th grade (we cannot accommodate kindergarteners) \nProgram Fee:  $180 (standard)\, $50 (scholarship)\, $50 (bus coordinators) \nThe Program Fee includes transportation and instruction. \nStudents will meet the volunteers after school in a specified area. Students then board a bus for transport to Woodward Park City where they will have a lesson with their instructor. A volunteer for Lead Chaperone will receive a sizable discount on one (1) child’s registration. Other volunteer positions include an additional bus chaperone. DESCRIPTION:Learn to ski or progress skills on the slopes at Woodward. This program will help to refine the skills you have learned and introduce you to new skills. This is a program specifically for Wasatch middle schoolers (high school students are welcome but will need to be dropped off at RMMS for the bus). \nThe ACTiV8 Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding program gives kids the opportunity to progress skiing and snowboarding alongside their peers. The program is based on our unique partnership with Woodward. \nDates: Monday\, Feb. 26\, Mar. 4\, 11\, 18 \nTime: 1:30- 5:30pm (The bus will pick up students from Timpanogos and Rocky Mountain Middle Schools) \nProgram Fee: $180 \nThe Program Fee includes transportation\, lift tickets\, and instruction. \nStudents will meet parent volunteers after school in a specified area where the students will get ready for class (get snow clothes and ski gear on). Students then board a bus for transport to the ski hill where they will have a 2½ hour ski or snowboard lesson with their instructor. DESCRIPTION:This is an Ecker Hill\, Treasure Mountain\, Park City High School\, South Summit\, Silver Summit\, Park City Day School\, Telos and Home School Program. \nImportant\, due to the terrain your child must be an intermediate level and capable of blue runs. \nIntroduction for both skiers and snowboarders to terrain parks including park etiquette\, transitions and small features; more advanced students learn tricks on rails\, jumps and in the halfpipe following safe progressions.  All students learn from our professional Woodward coaches and use our innovative terrain parks. \n**Transportation is not provided for this program – if this becomes a hardship\, please reach out to heather@ysausa.org.
