The Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) and Ski Utah are teaming up to expand access to skiing and snowboarding for kids across Utah.
Ski Utah and the Youth Sports Alliance are partnering to give more kids the chance to experience skiing and snowboarding this year. By providing gear, instruction, and transportation, the program ensures every child can take part.
Building on Ski Utah’s long-running fourth-grade program and YSA's nationally recognized afterschool model, this new effort expands opportunities with both single-day and four-day sessions at resorts across Northern Utah. The four-day sessions are open to all elementary school ages, giving more kids the chance to grow on snow.
To make participation possible for more families, the multi day program will introduce a tiered pricing structure, with scholarships available for families making less than $120,000 annually. Scholarship recipients will also receive assistance with rental equipment. In addition to time on the slopes, participants will be introduced to other Youth Sports Alliance programs and clubs, and Ski Utah is working with sponsors to provide discounts and deals that further reduce costs.

Together, Ski Utah and YSA are opening the mountains to the next generation — building confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of winter sport. And who knows? With the 2034 Olympic Games coming to Utah, one of these new skiers might be competing on the world stage.
